ROCKY AUR RANI KII PREM KAHAANI managed to do well in its third week showing a drop of a little under 65% as it collected 16.75 crore nett. The drop is more than the second week as that was an open week while the third week saw competition from two big films.

The total collections of the film now stand at around 133 crore nett and it has gone past the business of TU JHOOTHI MAIN MAKKAAR which did around 128 crore nett. The issue both films faced is huge budgets for the genre and then rejection in the Hindi circuits be it Gujarat or CP, CI and even East Punjab. The business today is such that the bigger budget films need these markets to work.

The Overseas business of the film is the saviour which stands at around $15.50 million which are the highest numbers outside PADMAAVAT, SANJU and the films of Khan (Aamir, Salman, Shah Rukh). It will finish the as 13th highest grosser overseas (original Hindi format) of all time. The worldwide GROSS numbers of the film are 285 crore apprx after three weeks.

Week Two - 46,71,00,000

ROCKY AUR RANI KII PREM KAHAANI remains super strong in overseas and is an overseas BLOCKBUSTER as its collections cross $15 million. There was competition this week with GADAR 2 and OMG 2 and despite the former doing well, it has not really affected the collections of ROCKY AUR RANI KII PREM KAHAANI.

The film started with competition from BARBIE and OPPENHEIMER but there was a continued push for shows from the distributors and this has worked well for the film. This week saw the release of OMG 2 from the same studio but that has had an haphazard release in overseas.

The film has crossed the $7 million mark in US/Canada making it the ninth highest grosser in that circuit and the overall overseas numbers have beaten all films featuring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh. So is the highest grosser for both of them as far as overseas is concerned. The film still has legs and could cross the business of films like 3 IDIOTS and HAPPY NEW YEAR from overseas in original format.

The business till date from major markets is as follows.

United Kingdom - £ 1,450,000

US / Canada - $7,000,000

Gulf - $3,500,000

Australia - A$ 1,500,000

The above lot account for around $13.5 million.

ROCKY AUR RANI KII PREM KAHAANI did good numbers in third weekend considering the competition. The film collected 9.50 crore nett apprx in its third weekend which is a drop from last weekend but the fact it did near double digits is a great result for the film.

The total collections of the film are now around 125 crore nett which is similar to the likes of TU JHOOTHI MAIN MAKKAAR and GANGUBAI KATHIAWADI. There will be more to come due to the holiday period. The week can easily go to 16-17 crore nett.

The biggest plus is the business in overseas markets which may well be heading to the $15 million mark which is second best to PATHAAN only post pandemic mark.
