Revolver Rani-Kaanchi-Samrat poor; 2 States 83.29 cr in 2 weeks

REVOLVER RANI and KAANCHI fared badly in their respective first weeks. REVOLVER RANI grossed around 8.75 crore nett and KAANCHI around 3.5-3.75 crore nett.
Both the films could not do much over the weekdays as appreciation was not there. While a 2 STATES got benefit of a holiday on Thursday, the same did not apply to REVOLVER RANI and KAANCHI. The films are out of most theatres in week two and will hardly add any business.
The other release of last week, SAMRAT & CO, collected very poorly with first week collections likely to come in below 1.50 crore nett.

2 STATES grossed a very good 24.84 crore nett in week two taking its two week
total to around 83.29 crore nett. The second week collections are the highest of
the year beating JAI HO at around 21.50 crore nett and QUEEN at 20 crore nett.The film was again very steady on the weekdays and got advantage of a holiday on Thursday. The elections going on at various places over the week also helped..
The third week will decide if it can go over 100 crore nett or even challenge the figure of JAI HO which is biggest grosser of the year till date. The film will probably still be the top Hindi film this week despite being in its third week.
Revolver Rani collects 6 cr in 3 days; Kaanchi 2.40 cr

REVOLVER RANI and KAANCHI made no impact at the box office with latter collecting a little under 2.5 crore nett and the former grossing a little over 6 crore nett.
REVOLVER RANI's main selling point was supposed to be Kangana Ranaut whose last film QUEEN was appreciated immensely in urban centres but that film did not do well over its first weekend and REVOLVER RANI was 40% less than QUEEN.
KAANCHI was a Subhash Ghai directed film after a long time but the weekend came in lower than films like PARDES, YAADEIN and KISNA which are very old releases. The daily weekend collections of KAANCHI and REVOLVER RANI are as follows.
Kaanchi
Friday - 70,00,000
Saturday - 80,00,000
Sunday - 90,00,000
TOTAL - 2,40,00,000
Revolver Rani
Friday - 1,75 crore
Saturday - 2 crore
Sunday - 2.25-2.35 crore
TOTAL - 6-6.1 crore

KAANCHI and REVOLVER RANI had low first day collections although the
latter came out on top by a margin. The collections of KAANCHI were in
75 lakhs nett range as per early estimates while Revolver Rani was
around the 1.75 crore nett range.
KAANCHI is a poor show and the opening day figures are less than the Subhash Ghai films released 10-15 years ago like Yaadien and Kisna which both grossed around 1.50 crore nett on day one and yet these films were failures..
