Box Office India Trade Network

RAJA NATWARLAL has dropped around 88% in week two and will gross around 2.50 crore nett and end with lifetime business of 24 crore nett. Below is the lifetime business of Emraan Hashmi's last few releases before RAJA NATWARLAL

Ghanchakkar - 28,16,00,000
Ek Thi Daayan - 26,81,00,000
Rush - 3,34,00,000
Raaz 3 - 67,41,00,000
Shanghai - 23,60,00,000

It can be seen only RAAZ 3 has scored well and RAJA NATWARLAL has business in the same range as films like GHANCHAKKAR, EK THI DAAYAN and SHANGHAI.

Raja Natwarlal 20.50 cr in Week 1; Mardaani 31 cr in 2 weeks

RAJA NATWARLAL has emerged one of the biggest disappointments of the year as it grossed around 20.50 crore nett in week one and has gone into week two with limited screenings of 2-3 shows at multiplexes. The film could also not make an impact at single screens where Emraan Hashmi films tend to do better especially in Western India.

The film is unlikely to reach 25 crore nett lifetime business which will mean similar business to SHANGHAI which was a flop Emraan Hashmi film released a couple of years back.

Emraan Hashmi starrers RAJA NATWARLAL, GHANCHAKKAR, EK THI DAAYAN and SHANGHAI all released in the last two years or so have seen similar results and none have managed to cross even 30 crore nett.
------------------------
MARDAANI grossed a decent 8-8.25 crore nett in week two taking its two week total to 31 crore nett plus. The film dropped around 65% in week two which is good trending although collections are on lower side.

Overall its a decent result for the film as for one there was hardy any face value and on top of that, it was Adult certificate which holds back collections at centres where families frequent theatre halls.

The best business for MARDAANI has come in West Bengal and Mumbai followed by Delhi/UP while other circuits were low in week two.
------------------------
SINGHAM RETURNS added around 4 crore nett in week three taking its total to around 139 crore nett. The film will finish around 140 crore nett. The collections have dropped fast after a huge first week.

RAJA NATWARLAL dropped badly on Monday which was expected due to the trend over the weekend. The approx weekend daily business is as follows

Friday - 4,80,00,000
Saturday - 4,00,00,000
Sunday - 5,00,00,000
Monday - 2,20,00,000
TOTAL - 16,00,00,000

The film is likely to continue to drop over the weekdays and finish the week with a 20-21 crore nett total and will not add much thereafter.

Raja Natwarlal collects 13.80 cr in 3 days; Singham Returns 137.16 cr in 17 days

RAJA NATWARLAL had a poor weekend all over as the film started low on Friday and had a big drop on Saturday which sealed its fate. The collections on Sunday were better but it was irrelevant.  The approx weekend daily business is as follows
Friday - 4,80,00,000
Saturday - 4,00,00,000
Sunday - 5,00,00,000
TOTAL - 13,80,00,000

The weekend business of RAJA NATWARLAL was lower tha films like HATE STORY 2, YAARIYAN and HASEE TOH PHASEE which were smaller films released on a lesser number of screens.
--------------------------------
SINGHAM RETURNS continued to fall in its third week as the film fell over 80% again after a 79% fall in the second week. The business of SINGHAM RETURNS till date is as follows.
Week One - 1,11,95,00,000
Week Two - 22,71,00,000
Third Weekend - 2,50,00,000 approx
TOTAL - 1,37,16,00,000

SINGHAM RETURNS will add less than 30 crore nett business after the first week as compared to the 70 crore nett that SINGHAM added. Overall the film has done well but should have at got to 150 crore nett considering how strong the collections were in week one

Raja Natwarlal collects 4.80 cr on Day 1

Box Office India Trade Network

RAJA NATWARLAL had poor collections on day one as it collected 4.80 crore nett. Mumbai circuit was a bit better as Gujarat and Saurashtra fared better and by far had the best collections across India. It was a holiday in Maharashtra and Gujarat and that helped Mumbai circuit compared to rest of India but even with holiday Mumbai can not be called good.

The rest of the country was poor with North and Central recording dull collections and also not showing that major jump in the evening shows which was needed.

Normally a film like RAJA NATWARLAL would grow from this level but as Mumbai has been helped by holiday that circuit may not be able to grow. So the film will now be depending on other circuits for growth.
