Madhoo, who is best known for her 1992 film Roja, has been doing films down South. Now, hitlist has learnt that she will soon be seen in a short film, Sab Theek Hain, which is directed by Rani Mukerji’s brother, Raja Mukerji.

“The story is about progressive women, and stars Madhoo and Waqar Shaikh. It revolves around a mother and daughter. Madhoo plays the daughter and Praveena Deshpande essays the role of her mother. The film is about sacrifice and patience, and also the fact that once a woman is pushed to her limits, she roars,” says a source.

Apparently, Madhoo had watched one of Raja’s short films, and when she was approached by him, she agreed immediately. Raja has only directed the movie. "It has been produced by my friends Rana and Sheekha Chatterji, who live in Canada,” says Raja, who is taking the movie to 45 film festivals.

About his job profile he says, “I am an executive in production, working on films here. I am working on a film called Fan which stars Shah Rukh Khan.” From producing films and TV software to joining management, Raja says he is enjoying his current job thoroughly. “YRF is one of the biggest production companies in Bollywood. My TV production has taken a back seat. There are no plans to revive it as I am devoted completely to Yash Raj. I wanted to join YRF for some time. I had it in mind from long but as you know everything has its own time... I am fortunate that I got the opportunity to be a part of this vast empire.”

Raja is all praise while talking about Rani’s husband, Aditya, who is also now his current boss. “Adi is extremely sorted, highly talented and knows exactly how and when to fire his guns!”

If sources are to be believed, Rani Mukerji’s brother has become part of Yash Raj Films. Says a source, “Raja has tried his hand at production in the past, so he knows what film production entails. Moreover, he’s been part of the film fraternity all along. He has now joined YRF and he is currently heading the production team.”

The source adds that not many people know about this development because this appointment has not been declared officially. “This has not been made public so far and the team members are also mum about it. He is new to the company and is now getting an idea about how things work at the production house. Some time down the line, there might be an announcement about the same,” says the source.

YRF’s spokesperson and Raja Mukerji remained unavailable for comment.
