RRR (Hindi) had a record third week of 35-36 crore nett for films released after the pandemic as it beat the numbers of THE KASHMIR FILES which did around 29.50 crore nett. The film actual held up very strongly on Thursday when KGF - CHAPTER 2 released with a 3 crore nett number as the holiday factor kicked in. The Thursday collections were better than Wednesday. 

The lifetime collections of the film depend where it lands today but considering the strong hold on Thursday, it should still manage to some more business and the release of  KGF - CHAPTER 2 (Hindi) is not the end for RRR (Hindi). It will cross the lifetime numbers of THE KASHMIR FILES to become the highest grossing film of the year but KGF - CHAPTER 2 will beat it in no time.

There are some very good some circuit numbers for RRR (hindi) but now in front of KGF - CHAPTER 2 they will not look much.

The collections of RRR (Hindi) till date are as follows. 

Week One - 1,31,96,00,000

Week Two - 74,17,00,000

Week Three - 35,50,00,000 apprx

RRR grossed around 3.25 crore nett on its third Monday to take its third week total to 26.75 crore nett. It will get to around 32.5-33 crore nett before the release of KGF - CHAPTER 2 and it remains to be seen how much it collects only the final day of the week and it could come down to 1 crore nett or even less due to the huge reduction is shows.

The total collections of the film so far are 233 crore nett and it has another two days where it put up good numbers and then it becomes how much it can add over the next 2-3 weeks. The third week number will the highest post the pandemic.

Saturday - 8,00,00,000 apprx

Sunday - 10,50,00,000 apprx

Monday - 3,25,00,000 apprx

KGF - CHAPTER 2 continues with its excellent advance and now is looking a certainty to beat WAR in terms of collections before release. This would leave it only behind BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION if we count the Hindi films but there is a chance it could beat even the Prabhas starrer in terms of advance for day one. WAR also comes into the picture for day one as that also had a heavily lopsided advance due to the national holiday.  

The advance was a bit slower on Monday but that is probably due to the early start but it will be tomorrow that will tell where the advance finally ends. The 30 crore nett mark looks to be there for the film and it will be about how much higher it goes than that.

DOCTOR STRANGE: IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS has simply an insane advance. The advance is open at limited properties and that too in the national chains and the two big chains PVR and Inox have already racked up over 50k in ticket sales. The release is still four weeks away and in comparison the advance is better than KGF - CHAPTER 2 but that is because Hollywood has a bigger audience which books in advance while Hindi films it is till about the Friday and that is what will take KGF to another level.

RRR (Hindi) is still in the race to beat the numbers of THE KASHMIR FILES as it again holds very well on the third Friday. The collections show no drop from the previous day as the film again collects 5 crore nett to take its overall total to 211 crore nett. This keeps it in the race to be the top grosser of 2022 but there is the juggernaut KGF - CHAPTER 2 coming and if that is liked, it could reach THE KASHMIR FILES before RRR (Hindi).  

The numbers on Friday also mean it could be the highest third week collection post the pandemic but a lot depends on the weekend as it will be shortened week due to KGF - CHAPTER 2 and JERSEY releasing on Thursday. They are still very good but there is a drop off. If we take out South India then RRR (Hindi) will easily beat THE KASHMIR FILES but for the Hindi version to come out on top, it will probably have to do some business in week four and week five. If Ramazan had not come it would have easily topped the 250 crore nett mark.

Last week there was ATTACK and MORBIUS and this week there was FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE SECRETS OF DUMBLEDORE but none of these films have managed to find much an audience leaving RRR (Hindi) as the main film.
