The film would have not been a hit film if the collections had gone towards the 2 crore nett mark as the film does not have support of a third or fourth week due to big releases

The film will still not reach the numbers of LUKA CHUPPI but it has a shot at75 crore and an outside chance of 80 crore but that is only if there is huge growth on Saturday and Sunday. PATI PATNI AUR WOH had a pretty good week of 51.25 crore nett but the second week is crucial for the film and has to do well as its unlikely it will have much collections after the second week due to the release of DABANGG 3.

The business has topped the numbers of LUKA CHUPPI which had a 32 crore nett weekend and were the best numbers for a Kartik Aryan film.

The film bettered LUKA CHUPPI due to the business on Friday and Saturday while Sunday was in the same range. This may be due to the cricket match which could have made the film loose a little bit of business on Sunday though it would in lakhs and crores.

PATI PATNI AUR WOH has done well collecting around 8.50-8.75 crore nett on day one. It is the highest opening day ever for a Kartik Aryan film beating the numbers of LUKA CHUPPI which was released around 9 months back.

The numbers are a little short of DREAM GIRL and BALA which did 9.4 and 9.3 crore nett respectively. The film has scored best in Delhi/UP with collections topping the 2 crore nett mark. The film is a remake of the 1978 film of the same name and that was a totally Mumbai circuit film but a different feel for the new film has made the remake a more universal film. Its unlikely to do big numbers across mass circuits but bigger cities in mass circuits be it Jaipur, Lucknow or Indore all should do well enough to have healthy numbers.

The film should post solid growth on day two and it is films like DREAM GIRL and BALA which will be the bench mark as far as growth is concerned.
