MISSION MANGAL had an excellent second week as it collected 48 crore nett with a huge two week number of 173 crore nett. The second week numbers are the third best of the year after KABIR SINGH and URI and the film is also the third biggest HIT of the year after those two films. It is the biggest HIT for Akshay Kumar in the last five years or so and will be the most watched concept film in recent history as will cross the footfalls of films like CHAK DE INDIA and TAARE ZAMEEN PAR.

MISSION MANGAL got a boost for Janmashtami in the second weekend which propelled the collections over the weekend as it did not like a 48 crore nett second week was possible considering how it was going on the weekdays. There will be a drop in business today due to the release of SAAHO but it should have enough legs to cross the NETT business of 2.0 (Hindi) though the GROSS business will probably remain lower than that film and the footfalls also.

The second week numbers for the film are the 15th highest ever beating films like KICK and YEH JAWAANI HAI DEEWANI and more recently GOLMAAL AGAIN.

MISSION MANGAL continues with steady collections of 3.50 crore nett on the second Tuesday to take its second week total to 42 crore nett plus in five days and a lifetime number to 167 crore nett. The second week should be around 48.50 crore nett and then the Friday collections will tell where the lifetime number will go.

The way its going it should beat the numbers of 2.0 (Hindi) though territory wise it will fall short places in most of the circuits as the Hindi version of 2.0 did not have much of a release in the South which means 10% of the market was missing for 2.0 (Hindi). Mumbai and West Bengal it will beat 2.0 if we don't count South where 2.0 was released in local languages mainly.

MISSION MANGAL did good business on its second Monday as it collected 3.75 crore nett. The drop does look big from its second Friday but the collections were boosted by Janmashtami there. The drop from last Monday is just 55% which is strong trend. The Janmashtami factor over the weekend probably boosted the collections of the film by around 5-6 crore nett.

The film has collected a huge 164 crore nett till date and is still going strong. The second week business of the film will be around 48 crore nett which is an excellent second week total and that too with an extended eight day first week. The film is now also become the highest grossing Akshay Kumar film in Mysore with collections around to 9.50 crore nett. It has beaten the 9.01 crore nett of AIRLIFT.

Mumbai circuit will be next and the 2.0 (Hindi) numbers should be beaten by the end of the week.

MISSION MANGAL had an excellent second weekend as it grossed 35 crore nett which looked a very high number considering the business it did not on the weekdays. There is the factor of Janmashtami over the weekend but even allowing for that its still a big number as the collections had come down to 6 crore nett on Thursday.

The total collections of the film are 160 crore nett in eleven days and today will probably tell how much of a boost Janmashtami gave the film. The film has scored 50 crore nett in Mumbai and is on the verge of crossing the business of ROWDY RATHORE (51.48 crore nett) and then will also cross 2.0 (Hindi) which was 57.03 crore nett. The figures of 2.0 (Hindi) in North, Central India and Bihar will probably not be reached but others have already crossed or will cross in time.

MISSION MANGAL had huge second Saturday collections of 12.75 crore nett apprx as Janmashtami pushed its collections higher for the second day running. The second weekend has already crossed 20 crore nett and film has crossed 145 crore nett in ten days.

The target for the film is probably the numbers of 2.0 (Hindi) which did around 185 crore nett and if the film does grow today (Sunday) then that number will be there irrespective of what happens in the third week. The growth on Saturday is around 70% which is super strong considering Friday also showed growth of 25% from Thursday.

MISSION MANGAL had an excellent excellent extended first week of 125 crore nett. The film is among the top three HITS of the year along with KABIR SINGH and URI and will also probably be the biggest Akshay Kumar hit in the last five years or so.

The film has done very strong business in Mumbai, Mysore and West Bengal. In West Bengal it has done what 2.0 (Hindi) did in its lifetime and that is the biggest Akshay Kumar grosser in West Bengal till date. In Mysore it is a crore or so short of the AIRLIFT total which is the biggest Akshay Kumar film in Mysore. Both circuits will set new highs for Akshay Kumar grossers over the weekend.

The film could have held stronger over the weekdays considering its weekend trend but there was more than normal drop of ticket rates on Monday and then Hindi circuits were going to find it difficult to hold the levels of business the film is doing. The film has still managed to finish Thursday with a 6 crore nett number which is very good and now it is about the hold on the second Friday.

MISSION MANGAL did fantastic business on its second Friday with collections going up around 25% due to Janmashtami. Despite the film not being for Hindi mass circuits there were big jumps in smaller areas of places like Gujarat and UP with some places going up 60-70%. The jump at metro multiplexes was more muted but its a very minor holiday there and the jump should come there today.

The film is the third biggest HIT of the year and looks to be cruising to the 175 crore nett mark with 132.50 already in the bag and a big Saturday and Sunday to come. The NETT business of the film is already similar to TOILET - EK PREM KATHA which is the best Akshay Kumar performer from all his releases in the week of Independence Day.

There is a good chance that the film will top the 150 crore nett mark by the end of the weekend but it remains to be seen how much Janmashtami has pushed the collections.
