It will fall short of 2.0 (Hindi) as that film was 236 crore and this looks like finishing at 230 crore. MISSION MANGAL had an excellent second week as it collected 48 crore nett with a huge two week number of 173 crore nett. The second week numbers are the third best of the year after KABIR SINGH and URI and the film is also the third biggest HIT of the year after those two films. It is the biggest HIT for Akshay Kumar in the last five years or so and will be the most watched concept film in recent history as will cross the footfalls of films like CHAK DE INDIA and TAARE ZAMEEN PAR.

The second week should be around 48.50 crore nett and then the Friday collections will tell where the lifetime number will go.

The way its going it should beat the numbers of 2.0 (Hindi) though territory wise it will fall short places in most of the circuits as the Hindi version of 2.0 did not have much of a release in the South which means 10% of the market was missing for 2.0 (Hindi). MISSION MANGAL did good business on its second Monday as it collected 3.75 crore nett. The drop does look big from its second Friday but the collections were boosted by Janmashtami there. The drop from last Monday is just 55% which is strong trend. The Janmashtami factor over the weekend probably boosted the collections of the film by around 5-6 crore nett.

The film has collected a huge 164 crore nett till date and is still going strong. The second week business of the film will be around 48 crore nett which is an excellent second week total and that too with an extended eight day first week. The film is now also become the highest grossing Akshay Kumar film in Mysore with collections around to 9.50 crore nett. It has beaten the 9.01 crore nett of AIRLIFT.

MISSION MANGAL had an excellent excellent extended first week of 125 crore nett. The film is among the top three HITS of the year along with KABIR SINGH and URI and will also probably be the biggest Akshay Kumar hit in the last five years or so.

The film has done very strong business in Mumbai, Mysore and West Bengal. In West Bengal it has done what 2.0 (Hindi) did in its lifetime and that is the biggest Akshay Kumar grosser in West Bengal till date. In Mysore it is a crore or so short of the AIRLIFT total which is the biggest Akshay Kumar film in Mysore. Both circuits will set new highs for Akshay Kumar grossers over the weekend.

The film could have held stronger over the weekdays considering its weekend trend but there was more than normal drop of ticket rates on Monday and then Hindi circuits were going to find it difficult to hold the levels of business the film is doing. MISSION MANGAL did fantastic business on its second Friday with collections going up around 25% due to Janmashtami. Despite the film not being for Hindi mass circuits there were big jumps in smaller areas of places like Gujarat and UP with some places going up 60-70%. The jump at metro multiplexes was more muted but its a very minor holiday there and the jump should come there today.

The film is the third biggest HIT of the year and looks to be cruising to the 175 crore nett mark with 132.50 already in the bag and a big Saturday and Sunday to come. The NETT business of the film is already similar to TOILET - EK PREM KATHA which is the best Akshay Kumar performer from all his releases in the week of Independence Day.

There is a good chance that the film will top the 150 crore nett mark by the end of the weekend but it remains to be seen how much Janmashtami has pushed the collections.

MISSION MANGAL collected 6.50 crore nett which was a 13% drop from the previous day and the seven day total is an excellent 119 crore nett. The film continues to perform very well in the big multiplexes while the mass centers are dropping more than the bigger centres.

The film is not far off the first week total of 127 crore nett of 2.0 (Hindi) and it is an achievement for this film to be close to 2.0 (Hindi) as that was a far bigger film with a far wider audience and this is allowing for that big first day holiday. Even if you take that extra 10-12 crore nett it got on day one it is still a big total for this film.

The Friday will tell where this film is going but if we add what KESARI did after the first week then we are probably looking at a lifetime total of 175 crore nett. That film added 49 crore nett apprx after the extended eight day first week.

MISSION MANGAL continued its strong run on Tuesday as it collected 7.50 crore nett to take its six day total to 112.50 crore nett. The collections dropped at multiplexes on Monday due to the huge drop in ticket rates which were at holiday blockbuster rates for five days but on Tuesday these big multiplexes were steady with minimal drop of 5-7%.

There was a drop in mass markets on Tuesday but still the numbers from likes of CP, CI Rajasthan and Bihar are pretty good for a film which does not really have the mass elements. These places will feel the heat eventually but as its got the initial numbers, so the final totals in all these markets will be good.

The first week is heading for a little over 125 crore nett and then it will be the second Friday drop which will tell where the film is going and the multiplexes especially in the bigger cities should hold hold well and do very good business over the weekend. The film has the potential to get a huge 175 crore nett plus total on the board but it depends on the second week.

There is a drop of 50% plus from Friday and the major multiplexes have fallen even more but there has been a huge drop in ticket prices at these multiplexes as they were at blockbuster levels for the first five days. The film is among the top three HITS of the year with KABIR SINGH and URI.

The drop is more in the big multiplexes due this reduction in ticket prices but the overall number is still very good for a Monday and there is an open weekend to come where the film should dominate again. The total collections of the film are 105 crore nett in five days and the extended week should be around 125 crore nett. The film is sure to cruise past the figures of KESARI in no time. A 10 crore nett Monday would probably have even given the film a shot at 200 crore nett but that would have been a crazy number for this type of film which has limited commercial elements and an audience mainly in the big cities.

MISSION MANGAL has recorded excellent extended weekend collections of 96.50 crore nett. Its a huge number for the film as such a number could not be expected for this type of film before release. The first day holiday was there but it is what it has done after the holiday which is the standout. The Sunday numbers are almost coming back to that national holiday first day level. At some places the collections are higher than day one.

The film has crossed the business of films like DE DE PYAAR DE, MANIKARNIKA - THE QUEEN OF JHANSI and LUKA CHUPPI in just four days and these were successful films to varying degrees. The weekend is at such a level that even if the film was to drop hugely on Monday it is still a HIT film. But going by the fantastic weekend trend, the film should hold and its about how well it can hold.

Mumbai is done fantastic business while West Bengal and Mysore will notch record numbers for Akshay Kumar starrers by the end of the week. Delhi/UP and East Punjab have been rock solid on Saturday and Sunday and should hold over time and catch up with business in Mumbai circuit.

Last year GOLD had grossed 67 crore nett over its five day extended weekend and this film has done almost 50% more business in five days. It will cross the lifetime numbers of GOLD in just five days.

MISSION MANGAL showed excellent growth on Saturday of around 35% and this was not its second day but third day and coming of that big holiday on day one. The business at multiplexes in metros was up 40-45% but there was less growth at other places which is expected on Saturday.

The film collected 23.50 crore nett apprx on Saturday taking its total to 69 crore nett apprx in 3 days. If the film was to grow 30-35% on Sunday then it would be a huge 100 crore nett in just four days though that much growth on Sunday may be difficult. A 95 crore nett weekend looks on the cards and it could go a few crore higher depending on the Sunday growth.

The film is outperforming in Mumbai and South but Delhi NCR and East Punjab are also showing strong numbers now and it could sustain very well in these parts also.

The film is doing big numbers in Mumbai, Mysore and West Bengal. The figures in Mysore and West Bengal in just the first four days will be among the top Akshay Kumar films and MISSION MANGAL could be number one in both circuits by the end of the week.

The two day collections in Mumbai is 16 crore nett while Delhi/UP is around 9.50 crore nett. The performance in Delhi NCR is very good but in UP its mainly performed in the multiplexes. Still NCR will take the film to a very good number in Delhi/UP.

The film should see solid upward momentum over the weekend especially on Saturday as the metros should show good jumps. The numbers is two days ensure a HIT film and time will tell if its a SUPER HIT or BLOCKBUSTER film.

If we compare with GOLD last year then the second day number is more than double of that film though the second day of GOLD fell on Thursday while its Friday here but even allowing for that there is a huge difference between the two films. GOLD was a moderate success due to the holiday period while this film has found acceptance with the big city audience.

The two day numbers of MISSION MANGAL are a huge 14 crore nett ahead of GOLD.
