Border 2 Vs Mardaani 3

BORDER 2 collected a fair 6.25 crore nett in its fourth week with collections dropping around 70% from the previous week. The film has generally done better in the weekends after the first week but here it lost some business due to the cricket match on Sunday. The falls after the first week are a little more than they should be but overall the collections have come.

The film is looking at a 80 crore nett finish in Delhi/UP, 40 crore nett in East Punjab, 25 crore nett in Rajasthan and 17 crore nett in Bihar and these four will be the best circuits all doing BLOCKBUSTER business. Mumbai will be 75 crore nett which should have been better but Gujarat/Saurashtra did not fire as it should have. Nevertheless, still Mumbai circuit has managed HIT business.

The collections of BORDER 2 till date are as follows.
Week One - 2,17,61,00,000
Week Two - 65,03,00,000
Week Three - 22,16,00,000
Week Four - 6,25,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 3,11,05,00,000 apprx

MARDAANI 3 also did fair business in week three as it picked up 5.25 crore nett which takes the film to a decent 45 crore nett. The film will become the highest grossing film of its franchise as should add a couple of crore or more at least. The film has done AVERAGE business overall which is a decent result for the film. All three films in the franchise have been successful though none reached HIT status. The plus of MARDAANI 3 is that the collections have come at a more difficult time compared to the time when the other films were released.

The collections of MARDAANI 3 till date are as follows.
Week One - 25,05,00,000 apprx
Week Two - 14,75,00,000 apprx
Week Three - 5,25,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 45,05,00,000 apprx

MARDAANI 3 had a decent second week as it collected 14.75 crore nett showing a 40% drop from the first week. the film is now standing at around 40 crore nett after two weeks which is a fair collection. The last film MARDAANI film released in 2019 did 46 crore nett. So, it remains to be seen if this film can reach that number.

It will be the weekends which will determine that as Friday will see a drop due to new films coming out. Irrespective of whether it reaches 46 crore nett or not, the film is an AVERAGE success. In terms of success, the film is lesser than the first two films but all three films have been successful though none of them are HIT films.

The franchise has been driven by Mumbai and West Bengal mainly and it pretty much similar again with Mysore helping also. However, it will not reach the collections of MARDAANI 2 in Mumbai or West Bengal this time. The disappointment for the film is probably West Bengal as it will remain well short of the last film and probably should have done better.

The collections of MARDAANI 3 till date are as follows.
Friday - 3,85,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 5,85,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 6,85,00,000 apprx
Monday - 2,25,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 2,50,00,000 apprx
Wednesday - 2,00,00,000 apprx
Thursday - 1,75,00,000 apprx
Week One - 25,05,00,000 apprx
Friday - 2,00,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 3,65,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 4,35,00,000 apprx
Monday - 1,25,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 1,50,00,000 apprx
Wednesday - 1,00,00,000 apprx
Thursday - 1,00,00,000 apprx
Second Week - 14,75,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 39,75,00,000 apprx

The collections of the holdover releases BORDER 2 and MARDAANI 3 came down on Friday due to a heavy reductions of screens and competition from the new releases. BORDER 2 collected around 80 lakhs nett and MARDAANI 3 was around 65 lakhs nett which is considerably lower than the previous day but both should make big gains today.

MARDAANI 3 remains an AVERAGE fare with collections now standing at around 40.50 crore nett. The drop maybe makes it tougher to reach the collections of the last MARDAANI film which was 46 crore nett plus. However, with the lack of releases over the next month or so, it should eventually do more than 46 crore nett.
