Final lifetime figures of Main Tera Hero & Bhoothnath Returns

MAIN TERA HERO has almost finished its run after four weeks and has
collected a healthy 53.04 crore nett and is likely to add another 5-10
lakhs nett in its remaining run as it is playing on very few theatres
in its fifth week. Its a decent final total as it did not start too
well but picked up and had a good two week run.
BHOOTHNATH RETURNS has not been so lucky as it has grossed 33.62
crore nett in three weeks and is also out of most cinemas and is
looking at a 34 crore nett finish.
BHOOTHNATH RETURNS had opened to a poor response but picked up
extremely well on Saturday and Sunday and managed a strong Monday due
to a holiday but after that collections crashed The film has done
somewhat better in Mumbai circuit which contributed more than 40% of it's business. Actually its a similar story with MAIN TERA HERO which has a 38% contribution from Mumbai and is a hit in the
circuit with business crossing 20 crore nett.

BHOOTHNATH RETURNS failed to make an impact at the box office as
collections came down fast after a holiday on Monday. The film had
surprisingly picked up very well on Saturday and consolidated with more
growth on Sunday while Monday was strong due to a holiday but then the
film slid down fast.
The film grossed around 26 crore nett over its first week and has seen further falls on its eight day. The business is holding well in Mumbai city and Delhi city but that will not help much.
BHOOTHNATH RETURNS which looked like it would cruise to over 40 crore nett after the big growth over the weekend and solid Monday will now struggle to hit the 35 crore nett mark.

MAIN TERA HERO will become the fourth highest grosser of the year after JAI HO, GUNDAY and QUEEN with lifetime business a over 50 crore nett. The film grossed around 12.84 crore nett in its second week taking its total to 48 crore nett.
The film will just edge out RAGINI MMS 2 which is the fourth highest grosser of the year at the moment. MAIN TERA HERO has scored well in Mumbai (due to Gujarat/Saurashtra belt) and Rajasthan and CP Berar.
The drop in week two is around 70%. The lifetime business of the film should go to around 18 crore nett in Mumbai circuit.

BHOOTHNATH RETURNS showed good growth on Saturday with collections
around 5.50 crore nett as per early estimates. The two day collections
of the film are a little less than 9 crore nett.
The film showed growth of around 60% and it was needed after low
first day collections. BHOOTHNATH RETURNS now has a chance of
succeeding if it can follow up on Sunday and the weekdays. The growth
on Saturday was all over though the film is poor in single screens
therefore single screen dominated circuits had less growth.
The film should now comfortably beat the business of the first BHOOTHNATH film which did not look so easy after the low first day collections.

BHOOTHNATH RETURNS picked up well over the weekend to have a fair weekend total of around 16.50 crore nett. The film had good growth on Saturday and Sunday.
If the film could have shown this sort of a growth from a 20-25%
better first day it would have been a totally different story for the
film. Now the film is dependent on how well it can sustain over the
weekdays and second week.
The best business for the film was in Mumbai while Delhi/UP showed very good growth over the weekend. The film should have a strong Monday enabling it to put up a decent first week total.

which is good trending as the drop is just 70% from its first weekend. But the first weekend had underperformed.
The film has done its best business in Gujarat followed by Rajasthan.
The second week figures should surpass 10 crore nett which is a decent
total considering the competition of BHOOTHNATH RETURNS which picked
up significantly after a low start.
MAIN TERA HERO should do around 50 crore nett lifetime business which is pretty good. The film will be a semi hit if it goes to around 50 crore nett.

MAIN TERA HERO held up well on Monday with collections around 3.50-3.75 crore nett. The drop is just 32% from Friday. The Friday was hit
by the cricket and even if we take fair value for day one which would
have been around 6.50-6.75 crore nett, it is still a pretty gold hold
with a drop in the 40-45% range.
The Monday figures give the film a chance of succeeding despite a not-so-great weekend. If there are small drops on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, it'll then give the film a chance to have a good second weekend.
MAIN TERA HERO has collections around 23.75 crore nett over four days and a normal weekdays trend will take it to 31.50 crore. But with missed business over the weekend and a solid Monday it should do better over the week.

MAIN TERA HERO grossed 20 crore nett approx on its first weekend. The
weekend collections are low but if we factor in two cricket matches
which dented collections badly on Friday and Sunday it can be called an
average weekend.
The collections could have been in the 22-23 crore nett range if it was a normal weekend. The weekdays are the key for the film and it has to sustain well to get a reasonable first week.

MAIN TERA HERO has grossed a little bit less than SHAADI KE SIDE EFFECTS which had a similar costing but had a lower screen count. That
film did not sustain too well after the first weekend and managed
around 38 crore lifetime business. MAIN TERA HERO will be hoping to go
higher than that film despite the weekend being 1 crore less. The
approx breakdown for the weekend is as follows.
Friday - 5.50 crore nett
Saturday - 7 crore nett
Sunday - 7.50-7.75 crore nett
TOTAL 20-20.25 crore nett

MAIN TERA HERO was below the mark on day one as it took an average opening and collections went down badly in the evening as India played in a very important cricket match. The film needed to open well to counteract the cricket like RAGINI MMS 2 did.
The first day collections were around the 5.50 crore nett as per early estimates which is not that good but Saturday will tell how much did the cricket match affect the film.
The film has cost over 40 crore to promote and release and so the growth will have to be huge on Saturday. Growth of 10% would have been expected if Friday was not affected by the cricket. Hence, now there will be a potential for 30-40% growth. However, the problem will resurface on Sunday since India has reached the finals. Hence, the collections of MAIN TERA HERO might be hit hard again.
This is the third time in a row that a release of Balaji Motion Pictures has been hit by the cricket (SHAADI KE SIDE EFFECTS, RAGINI MMS 2 and now MAIN TERA HERO. RAGINI MMS 2 withstood the cricket onslaught and now it remains to be seen if MAIN TERA HERO can do the same.
