KYAA KOOL HAIN HUM 3 had a low week grossing 27 crore nett. The film had a reasonable start with some some mass centres being good but the fall in collections started on day one itself. The second day business saw a 20% drop which is rarity with how business works today and the film had no chance to recover from that.

This genre will find it tough going due to the censors chopping the film. The internet promos are not censored so the audience for these films is coming for what they see in these trailers but with the reported 139 cuts its unlikely they will get what they have come for so therefore rapid drops in collections. This week's MASTIZAADE which is the same genre has had an unprecedented 381 cuts.

KYAA KOOL HAIN HUM 3 is out of most theatres or on minimal shows and so a 30 crore nett finish is about the highest it can go.

AIRLIFT did well in its first weekend grossing 42.50 crore apprx. The film had a decent start but picked very well in the evening followed by huge growth on Saturday. As bulk of the business is from big cities, huge Sunday growth was always going to be difficult but it still managed to show a nice jump.

The first day business was 11 crore nett, second day was 14.50 crore nett and third day 17 crore nett. The best business is in Mumbai, Delhi / UP and East Punjab while Mysore showed a huge jump on Saturday.

Gujarat, Rajasthan, Bihar and CI have not grossed even as much as some of the under performing Akshay Kumar films but should manage fair business in the long run,

KYAA KOOL HAIN HUM 3 grossed 17.75 crore nett over its first weekend. The start was decent but it downhill after that as the first day remained the best day. The first weekend business of KYAA KOOL HAIN HUM 3 is as follows.

The total is still not bad against the budget of the film but the problem is there will be no follow up due to the 20% fall on day two. It is very rare for a film fall 20% on day two unless first day is a holiday. It has not happened in the last few years.

AIRLIFT showed excellent growth on Saturday grossing 14.50 crore nett. The film had good collections at multiplexes in most of the major cities. Multiplexes and single screens is smaller cities are below the mark due to low start.  The first two day busines is as follows.

The Saturday trend has ensured success for the film and it should have a good run at city multiplexes.

KYAA KOOL HAIN HUM 3 on the other hand dropped on day two with around 5.25 crore nett. The drop had started on day one so this was always on the cards. The two day business is 11.75 crore nett apprx.

KYAA KOOL HAIN HUM 3 grossed 6.50-6.75 crore nett apprx on day one which is similar to the collections of KYAA SUPER KOOL HAIN HUM released in 2012. The film opened well in mass centres but did not go through the day as the opening morning numbers suggested a higher number.

The number is still decent for its costs but it becomes about the trend now when normally these type of films tend to do well initially due to no support of family audiences. The multiplexes can improve today mainly because the film has recorded lo collections on day one.

The film was best in Mumbai with 2 crore nett plus followed by CP Berar at 45 lakhs and East Punjab at 70 lakhs nett. Delhi/UP was 1.25 crore nett. The contributions were weak down South.
