KISI KA BHAI KISI KI JAAN had a low second week with business of 15 crore nett apprx. This takes the film to the 100 crore nett mark in two weeks but there will not be much more numbers coming in. Its unlikely that the film will be able to add 10 crore nett more.

The film got a little boost on Monday due to Labour Day/Maharashtra day but collections were back down the next day. The performance of the film is poor all over as it looks all circuits except the likes of Bihar and Odisha will stay below TU JHOOTHI MAIN MAKKAAR. The all India number being lower is understandable but likes of CP, CI and Rajasthan should have gone higher especially on EID.

KISI KA BHAI KISI KI JAAN dropped on its second Tuesday after the holiday benefit on Monday. The film collected around 1.25 crore nett on its second Tuesday which takes the film to 98.50 crore nett. The collections have come down to a low level now and there are a couple of big Hollywood releases over the next few weeks which makes it difficult for KISI KA BHAI KISI KI JAAN to run for long on such low occupancy.

The second week should see the film hitting the 100 crore nett mark but that was minimum requirement in the first week if the film was to have any chance of crossing the 150 crore nett mark. This is the mark all these films costing in. Films like KISI KA BHAI KISI KI JAAN, BHOLAA and TU JHOOTHI MAIN MAKKAAR needed to collect around the 200 crore mark but all failed. The latter was the closest with a 128 crore nett close. KISI KA BHAI KISI KI JAAN may not even get 110 crore nett while BHOLAA closed around 80 crore nett.

The wait is now for JAWAN and Shah Rukh Khan to save the day. Post JAWAN, there is a better line up; so, the second half of 2023 should witness better box office results.

KISI KA BHAI KISI KI JAAN got the benefit of labour day in some states and it was Maharashtra Day in Maharashtra which led to good collections in this state (good as is in they were around the level of Saturday, not in terms of the overall picture).

The film collected around 2.25 crore nett on Monday which is more than Friday mainly thanks to Maharashtra. This takes the second week to 11.75 crore nett and it should be going to around 15-16 crore nett in week two. The overall total of the film is 97 crore nett.

There will be a drop in collections on Tuesday as the film comes back down to its more normal level for the weekdays of the second week.

KISI KA BHAI KISI KI JAAN managed some good growth on Sunday of around 40% but this is probably because on Saturday, the growth was not like it should. The collections on Sunday were 4.25 crore nett taking the film to 95 crore nett. Despite being in cinemas for ten days, it is still short of the 100 crore nett mark and even in 14 days, it may not reach that mark.

The film will not reach the 120-125 crore nett range as collections are not up to the mark in week two. The way it is going, the film will not reach the BHOLAA numbers of week two at around 16 crore nett, let alone the 24.50 crore nett mark of TU JHOOTHI MAIN MAKKAAR. The big releases have to be going over 25 crore nett in week two and its likely all the HITS post pandemic have managed to do this.

Despite the content not working the hope was that it could reach the AVERAGE mark and do business similar to KISI KA BHAI KISI KI JAAN. But its looking to fall 15 crore nett short due to limited collections after the first week.

The overall business is a little over 90 crore nett after nine days but if you take out Eid, then this film would not have reached 100 crore nett lifetime.

KISI KA BHAI KISI KI JAAN dropped on its second Friday with collections in the 2.25 crore nett range. The film had to be around 3 crore nett if it was to get to the 125 crore nett mark which now looks impossible for the film.

The eight day business of the film is now 88 crore nett and basically, its just been a story of the film doing well over the Eid period and then coming down fast. It will get over the 100 crore nett mark but even that will take time. The collections have also come down in Overseas post Eid and worldwide, it will stay below the 200 crore mark.

The film has under performed for a Salman Khan film but there was always a possibility with the look and feel of the film. The next few films of the superstar look better products with TIGER 3 on Diwali and then a film with Rajshri Productions followed by the YRF film with Shah Rukh Khan. No doubt the numbers will be far higher as they will be better products and if the audience takes to the content as well, then the films can go anywhere. Today star power alone has limitations with a reluctant audience and its not just this film but so many that are proving this.
