KHEL KHEL MEIN dropped only 35% in its third week but the collections of the film are not going anywhere despite a limited drop. The film collected 5.50 crore nett apprx in its third week and now stands at 34 crore nett plus.

This film remains best in Delhi/UP which stands at over 9 crore nett now and that is with an extremely dull UP. The film is a comedy but becomes more for metros due to its storyline and this can be seen in its collections as mass circuits are horrible and that's an understatement. A market like CI will hardly see 1 crore nett business.

The film will probably add another 5-6 crore nett from here and finish at 40 crore nett and a better release date could have given around 10 -15 crore nett more. Even then, 55 crore nett would still be a bad result.

KHEL KHEL MEIN collected 80 lakhs nett on its third Friday,. It is holding at very low numbers and is now looking to finish at around 40 crore nett. There is a response to the film in the Delhi NCR area and its better than what the collections are showing.

This film has some likeability in pockets of some of the metros though its minor and. Basically, if we take all of the Akshay Kumar releases post pandemic, then after OMG 2, this probably has the most appreciation. However, this will not come out in the collections due to the STREE 2 factor.

There is nothing in mass circuits and hence, the film was never going to do a number. But it can be said with certainty now with these holds that it would have done better if it was released in an open week. Having said that, there is a problem with films which have mainly urban appeal and that also applies to urban comedies.

KHEL KHEL MEIN had a second weekend of 5 crore nett and it managed to do some business on Saturday and Sunday in context of the overall scenario of the film. Basically, it is getting some audiences on Saturday and Sunday despite crashing after the holiday period.

It looked lights out under 30 crore nett but the business on weekends will take it a little higher than 30 crore nett. The film has done a little better in Delhi NCR and East Punjab and maybe without STREE 2, these areas could have put up a decent total.

VEDAA saw a huge crash in business as it grossed only 1.75 crore nett in its second weekend taking its total to 19 crore nett. Over 6 crore nett of these collections came on day one which shows the total rejection of the film.

KHEL KHEL MEIN collected 1 crore nett apprx on its second Friday which is a very poor collection but the film did hold up more or less at its Thursday range due to the lack of competition. But VEDAA also had lack of competition and it was 50% down from its Thursday number having hardly any collections.

STREE 2 is a juggernaut out there and as KHEL KHEL MEIN is still hanging around, it means it would have done better on a solo date. A hit film or successful film is out of the question as the film itself does not have the reach or appreciation but it could have have done 15-20 crore nett more if it came in say early or mid September which is practically empty. 

Now the film will probably settle for a total of 30 crore nett plus as it stands with 21.50 crore nett after eight days.

VEDAA's collections, meanwhile, fell to 25-30 lakhs nett and that will wrap at around 20 crore nett.

The film would have done better numbers on a solo release and that is not to say it would have been a success but it would not have been this low as NCR market had some scope. With STREE 2 running riot, it did not stand a chance.

KHEL KHEL MEIN had a very dull first week of 20.50 crore nett with its fate pretty much sealed on the first day. It managed to beat VEDAA despite a lower opening but that hardly matters.

The collections did not drop on the final day but that was mainly because the PVR Inox chains saw a healthy jump in business but the main circuits were pretty much flat. The 30 crore nett number is a tough ask unless the film can also pick up 1 crore nett on the second Friday.

KHEL KHEL MEIN and VEDAA have not done well on day one with collections coming in at 5.75 crore nett and 6.25 crore nett respectively. These collections would have been fair going by what has happened this year if it was not a huge holiday. But on independence Day, it does not leave the films anywhere to go.

KHEL KHEL MEIN has done better in the bigger multiplex chains while elsewhere VEDAA is better but it hardly matters as on this day you have to be near that double digit number at least to have a chance. Now its just a race between the two films and which one does better knowing the final outcome will not be good unless a miracle happens.

It is suicidal to clash when there are so many free Fridays but it keeps on happening and the results will never be optimal even when a film does well. Even STREE 2 could have done better if it was not for these two films. It may have been challenging the opening day of JAWAN but that we will never know.

The problem for both films is that the collections are going to come down from these levels on day two and that is why they needed far higher numbers on the holiday. The trailers of the films did not look as bad as these numbers. But this can always happen when 3 films clash and now as one is going to be huge success its a struggle post the big holiday as well.

KHEL KHEL MEIN had a huge drop on the second day which was inevitable after the film did not perform on the first day. The drop is much higher than normal but this can always happen in a clash as post holiday, the audience is far less and most of that audience will go to the better film.

On top its a working day post the national holiday which hits it further. The film should be able to recover on Saturday as its a multiplex film but even if you double from these horrible figures, it is still a very poor collection.

The film has around 7.75 crore nett in two days and which is nothing and due to the clash the film has not even been given a chance.

VEDAA had an even bigger fall than KHEL KHEL MEIN on day two and here this huge fall came even with a buy one get one offer. Surely this shows the offer is pointless as when the public do not want to watch, they will not watch. If the offer did help the collections by 10 lakhs, what is the point as it makes no difference and is simply a waste of money.

VEDAA benefitted more on Indepencence Day than KHEL KHEL MEIN as mass circuits were better but these also drop more post the holiday.

KHEL KHEL MEIN remains very dull with collections of 3.25 crore nett which takes the film to 11.25 crore nett in 3 days. The jump on Saturday is 40% which is disappointing as its a multiplex film. The film is not going anywhere due to the low numbers but a jump of 75% could have at least given it a chance of a little run on low collections.

The only minor plus is that its generally higher than VEDAA now despite starting lower everywhere except East Punjab but this hardly matters in the bigger context.
