Kesari collects 143.80 cr in 3 weeks; Badla collects 85.02 cr in 5 weeks

KESARI held well in the third week dropping around 63% to collect 11 crore nett. The total collections of the film are now 144 crore nett. The film still probably has another week or so to collect before the big films arrive.
The collections of KESARI till date are as follows.

BADLA collected 2.25 crore nett apprx in week five to take its total to 85 crore nett. The film could still have a crore or two more to come. The film has now crossed the business of ANDHADHUN in Mumbai circuit also and that film was mainly a Mumbai/Pune HIT. The collections of BADLA are still a little over than ANDHADHUN in Mumbai city and Pune but it has better collections in practically every other city in India.

KESARI is heading for a third week of around 11 crore nett as it picked up 1 crore nett apprx on the third Monday. The total collections for the film so far are 141 crore nett. The drop in the third week will be in the 60-65% range.
The film had grossed 35 crore nett in Mumbai, 37 crore nett in Delhi/UP and and 19.50 crore nett in East Punjab so far. Rajasthan is 8.50 crore nett while the traditionally weak West Bengal and Nizam/Andhra for a heavy Punjabi film collected 6 crore nett.
The film will cross TOILET - EK PREM KATHA in all circuits except Mumbai while 2.0 (Hindi) will cross only in East Punjab and South (this is because of a limited release of 2.0 in Hindi due to regional versions being screened).

KESARI had another good weekend as it collected 7.25 crore nett over its third weekend. The film has a total of 140 crore nett in eleven days and should comfortably be another double digit week for the film. The business in North India (Delhi/UP and East Punjab) has crossed 55 crore nett now while Mumbai circuit is around 34 crore nett.
The film had initially scored in Gujarat/Saurashtra as far as the Mumbai circuit was concerned but now the bulk of the collections are coming from Mumbai city, Thane and Pune. The numbers are very good in Mumbai and South for what is essentially a Punjabi film. Even West Bengal is continuing to collect and is now in fact better than TOTAL DHAMAAL. This market has very few takers for the Punjabi type of films.
A SUPER HIT like SINGH IS KINGG fared poorly in West Bengal and so have all the other very Punjabi type of films over the last 15 years or so.

KESARI had strong growth on Saturday with collections of 2.50 crore nett. It went up around 65% which is best Saturday growth of its tune so far. This is because it is mainly being screened at multiplexes now. The seventeen day total for the film is 139 crore nett plus.
The film will be the highest grossing film of 2019 beating URI in East Punjab and could also be in top in Rajasthan beating TOTAL DHAMAAL. It has this week and one more week to keep the numbers coming but then the biggies will start to come leaving little screen space..
The film also crossed the 1 crore footfall mark on Fridays which is the real 100 crore nett value when it was something around 4-5 years back. It may cross the NETT and GROSS numbers of TOTAL DHAMAAL but footfalls set t be remain less than that film.

KESARI had decent figures on the third Friday as it collected around 1.50 crore nett. The film is collecting very similar to TOTAL DHAMAAL which was also around the 1.50 crore nett mark on its third Friday. The total collections of the film are around 137 crore nett.
The film has now grossed around 33 crore nett in Mumbai and if we take Mumbai and South combined it will eventually do around 50 crore nett and it is this number which takes the film to HIT status. These are big numbers for this film as the film did not have much for these regions.
The film is strong in Delhi/UP and East Punjab with around 50% of the all India business coming from these two circuits.the rest is mainly from multiplexes of metros and A centres.
