Rana Daggubati to launch reality series on Neha and Aisha Sharma, inspired by Keeping Up With The Kardashians

Trailing the celebrity life has usually made for popular content. A prime example is Keeping Up With The Kardashians, which not only kept viewers hooked for 20 seasons, but also made the Kardashian family famous for being famous. Closer home, Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives (2020) tasted success with the format. Now, we hear a similar concept is being explored around the lives of actors Neha and Aisha Sharma.
Rana Daggubati, who launched his YouTube channel South Bay in March 2021, has envisioned a non-scripted reality series titled Shining with the Sharmas. The reality show joins South Bay’s roster that previously had the animated chat show, Why Are You, and Lakshmi Manchu’s talk show, among others.
“The series is on the lines of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. It is shot entirely in their Bandra home [and will follow them] as they go about their day — from their gym workouts, to their projects and their downtime together. The peppy show [will highlight] the fragilities of the glam world. It aims to depict how the Sharma sisters navigate the strains of the industry,” says a source.
The series has been in the making for the past year, and is currently in post-production. If all goes as planned, the show will drop on the channel in June.

I have also shot a segment for an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians-Sushant Singh Rajput

Sushant Singh Rajput, who did a photo- shoot with supermodel Kendall Jenner, reveals he filmed asegment for reality show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians
Mohar Basu (MID-DAY; May 5, 2017)
For the anniversary edition of a leading fashion magazine, Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput and international supermodel Kendall Jenner came together for a sizzling shoot by celebrated Peruvian photographer Mario Testino.
Shot at the Samode Palace near Jaipur, Testino described the shoot as an amalgamation of “the people, the art, the colours, the elephants and everything in between.” For Sushant, it was an “out of the world” experience.
Speaking to mid-day, the actor says, “Anaita Adjania (fashion director of the magazine) called me up to ask if I would be interested in doing the shoot. And I definitely was. Who would say no to an opportunity to shoot for Vogue with Mario and Kendall?” Sushant recalls discussing India, food, fashion and the Victoria’s Secret model’s reality show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians. “In fact, I have also shot a segment for an episode of Keeping Up... I would have loved to show her around, but couldn’t due to security issues. The palace where we stayed was huge and the food was great too. I ended the shoot with a nice conversation with her, Mario, Anaita and the crew.”
Asked if he is attempting to break out of the serious artiste mould by glamming up, he says, “As an actor I need to convince you that I am the part. So if I play a guy who is stylish, it is my job to make you believe that, irrespective of your perception.” Sushant adds he learnt quite a lot about fashion by merely observing Kendall. “She said she was happy to note that I am tall,” he says with a laugh.

Sunny Leone, who is back as a host on reality show Splitsvilla 8, would love to do a show on the lines of the Kardashian sisters’ life!
Sneha Mahadevan (DNA; July 5, 2015)
Sunny Leone, who started her journey in Bollywood with
a television stint in Bigg Boss, is back to hosting the eighth season
of reality show Splitsvilla. The actress, was chosen to host the show in
it’s seventh season and due to her immense popularity, she has been
brought back to host it once again. Sunny says, “Bigg Boss has played a
huge role in shaping my future. Some many people in India know me
because of that show. I owe my career to television. If it weren’t for
Bigg Boss and Salman Khan’s support, I wouldn’t be here today,” The show
which is about finding love, will see the actress host as well as play
mentor. “I tell all the boys on the show that chivalry, respect and
being loving towards women are the three most important qualities. When
the boys misbehave with women or don’t treat them right, I am always
reprimending them,” she says.
Much before Sunny hopped on to the television bandwagon, she was hooked to American TV shows. “I love reality shows and I have been watching them forever. If I was single and a lot more younger, I would absolutely love to be in Splitsvilla. In fact, I would love to be a part of a show like Keeping Up With The Kardashians. If shot right and presented well, I am open to it,” Sunny says.
Keeping Up with the Bhatts?: Alia Bhatt wants a show on the lines of the Kardashians’

Nayandeep Rakshit (DNA; June 9, 2015)
Alia Bhatt has just finished shooting an ad with mom
Soni Razdan. But the actress has never collaborated with dad Mahesh
Bhatt. When asked if that has made Bhatt saab ‘jealous’. Alia laughs,
“Papa was so jealous and he was like, ‘Why, Mummy? Why can’t we do
something together?’ But when he heard what we were doing, although a
bit jealous, he really encouraged us.”
Even though an ad might be a possibility, there is no chance of a film with daddy Bhatt, she admits, “Yes, that won’t happen. He has stopped directing films. But, if he ever makes a film or writes a story for me, maybe then I might get to work with him, too.”
While numerous actors have shared screen space with their parents on screen (for films or for ads), Alia fancies that something bigger might get the Bhatt family together on screen. She laughs, “We can have a show on the lines of Kim Kardashian’s Keeping Up With The Kardashians and call it Keeping Up With The Bhatts. That kind of a show might get all of us together and you will also get to see how we actually are in real life!”
But Soni rejects the idea then and there. “I am a very private person. I can never allow a camera to follow me 24X7. So I would never agree to be part of such a show.” But idea bura nahi hai! Producers, you listening?
