KGF - CHAPTER 2 continued to do excellent business on day eight with collections of 13 crore nett plus. This takes the extended first week business of the film to almost 264 crore nett and it shall go past the 300 crore barrier by the end of its second weekend.

The film has smashed all records in the first week and these could be hard to chase down for sometime especially the circuit numbers as some the collections are pretty crazy and at unimaginable levels. The lifetime number will depend on its second week and it should be a double digit number. RRR (Hindi) saw a rise on its second Friday but that is unlikely to happen here but it should not drop much..

The lifetime target looks to be the business of DANGAL of 374 crore nett. The 350 crore nett looks there for the film and should cross that comfortably unless the falls come post this weekend as it is a slow week due to pre Eid especially in many mass centres.

KGF - CHAPTER 2 collected 16 crore nett apprx on Wednesday which is another huge daily number and it became the first film in history to collect 250 crore nett in a week. This has also come with a limited with limited business from the South and fair value is probably 15 crore nett higher.

KGF - CHAPTER 2 has beaten the record of BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION which collected around 246.50 crore nett. The seven day records have not come in all circuits as BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION will still have the highest number is a couple of circuits but that remains to be seen. Delhi/UP is not a record and there may be another one or two. The way the film is going, it will hit 100 crore nett in Mumbai on Saturday and Sunday.

The film is showing bigger daily drops if we compare with an RRR (Hindi) but that is because it had an extra day in its first weekend and consumed much more of the audience in the first four days. Also the film will have a lesser family audience than films like BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSIONor RRR which means it will be more front loaded. Now it will be about where the collections land on the second Friday and that will tell where the film is going. No doubt the film is the biggest BLOCKBUSTER of 2022 till date and will be very difficult to top.

KGF - CHAPTER 2 scored another very good day with collections in the 19 crore nett range though there was a drop from the previous day as collections went down 25%. The film had an extended weekend and collections were very strong for the first five days. The weekday trend is weaker than a film like RRR (Hindi) basically because this film had a four day weekend and RRR (Hindi) had a three day weekend. Also that extra day added a huge amount of business.

The first week is a certain record unless something badly goes wrong today which is unlikely as the drop is probably looking to be another 15-20% which will give it a huge first week total of around 250 crore nett beating the 246 crore nett of BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION. The key for its lifetime business is where the second Friday lands.

The six day total of the film is almost 235 crore nett and the film is certain to become the highest grossing film of the year by the time. Mumbai circuit has crossed the 75 crore nett mark and that will also cross SOORYAVANSHI in eight days flat. It was Mumbai circuit that made SOORYAVANSHI a HIT film and the numbers will be crossed fast by KGF 2.

KGF - CHAPTER 2 just ripped the box apart over the extended first weekend as it picked up a 190 crore nett total over the first four days and only six films in history have collected more than this in the first seven days. The collections were record breaking in every circuit with first day weekend records in very single circuit. The Sunday collections were in the 50 crore nett range making it two 50 crore nett days in the first weekend itself for the first time.

The only record it missed was the first day in Delhi/UP and that was due to external factors with some properties not being there post the pandemic. Going by the East Punjab total which is a good indicator for Delhi/UP, it would have gone past 12 crore nett in Delhi/UP if all was normal. The mass markets on Sunday all will end at similar numbers to the first day be it CP Berar, CI, Rajasthan or Gujarat/Saurashtra.

KGF - CHAPTER 2 is a BLOCKBUSTER but there is always the wait for Monday to confirm this. The advances are excellent but its about where the on the day audience can take that Monday number. The trend for the weekend is also extraordinary as the holds are super strong considering it came off a pretty big holiday on Friday as many bank holidays came together on day one. It remains to be see how big of a BLOCKBUSTER this film becomes.

If there is a pick for the most outstanding performance over the four day weekend, then it will have to Odisha as this is a small circuit but it is already number three on the all time list in just four days. The circuit was always going to be exceptional as dubbed films have a huge history here but to go to this level is still far more than expectations. It may even cross BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION by the end of the week and become highest grosser in this circuit within a week.

KGF - CHAPTER 2 continued to show extraordinary collections on day three as it collected around 42.50 crore nett with a phenomenal trend. There are drops over the last two days but these are much less than anyone could have expected and the first three days have all remained comfortably above the 40 crore nett mark.

The numbers are phenomenal all over with the standouts being Gujarat/Saurashtra, CP Berar and Odisha. Considering the film is a dubbed South film the numbers from East Punjab are also insane and even there it is comfortably smashing all records over the first three days. There were drops in Mumbai/Maharashtra and East on day three but these circuits were super strong for two days and the overall collections were compensated by an increase in the South as the shows increased.

The three day total of the film stands at around 141 crore nett plus and it could go to around 190 crore nett depending on the jump on Sunday. The film also shattered all weekend records in India for IMAX beating SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME with collections of 4.75 crore nett for three days.

KGF - CHAPTER 2 had a huge second day as it collected 45-46 crore nett apprx to take its two day numbers to 98 crore nett plus. Simply said, the business is just phenomenal. The drop is under 15% but that is hardly anything considering it was a big holiday on day one at many places. Day two was a holiday but mainly in the bigger centers.

The first day bought in records all over and although it was mentioned here that Assam was not a record, it eventually came out to be a record when the final collections came and it was only Delhi/UP which missed out on a record and that is only because some good theatres have been lost in the circuit.

The film again held amazingly strong collections in Gujarat/Saurashtra as the first day was an all time record and the second day was the second highest day ever in the circuit after its very own day two. There well may be other circuits where this has happened and and KGF - CHAPTER 2 holds the two highest days ever in that circuit but that remains to be seen. East India has seen a simply crazy first day with mass centres hardly dropping from day one especially in West Bengal and Odisha.

East Punjab is doing fantastically well which is a key circuit if a South dubbed film really wants to go far. East Punjab saw the fourth highest ever daily collection after KGF - CHAPTER 2 day one, WAR day one and THUGS OF HINDOSTAN day one.

The third day will probably see another dip in business which is expected as there have been two holidays but the film will pick up huge pace again on Sunday. It can be that some places may well go close to the first day levels though the all India figure will find it harder.

The 175 crore nett four day weekend looks on the cards for the film.
