JAWAANI JAANEMAN has seen poor collections in the second weekend as it collected 3.50 crore nett. The film had dropped on Friday and the weekend growth was not really there as Saturday should have doubled for this type of film from the low levels on Friday.

The film has collections of 23 crore nett in ten days which is not much and there is not much to come either. The film might get close to 25 crore nett by the end of the week and maybe another 1 or 2 crore nett will come thereafter. The film has done better than PANGA but less than CHHAPAAK. The main issue is that the film could not really sustain well.

TANHAJI: THE UNSUNG WARRIOR showed excellent growth on its fifth Saturday as it collected 2 crore nett and has now collected over 253 crore nett. The film has doubled its numbers compared to the Friday and is heading for another strong week.

There is a chance that the fifth week collections can be among the top five fifth weeks of all time though a lot willl depend on the weekday collections. There is a huge ratio of business coming from Mumbai city and Pune and that is why last week the film collected less on the weekdays as these places collect very strongly over the weekend.

JAWAANI JAANEMAN saw decent growth on Saturday as it collected in the 1.25 crore nett range but the film is not going anywhere with 20.75 crore nett in nine days. BAAZAAR collected 26 crore nett in 2018 and this film may just edge above that though 30 crore nett is looking tough from here.

JAWAANI JAANEMAN dropped on the second Friday with collections going down by nearly 50% when it really had to collect near its Thursday number. The film collected around 75 lakhs nett on its second Friday which takes its total to 19.50 crore nett.

The film is basically on the wrong side of 1 core nett on its second Friday and that too when the competition was not that strong especially for the JAWAANI JAANEMAN larger audience of metro multiplexes with MALANG being a film more the multiplexes outside metros. There should be good growth on Saturday but this second Friday number means that a double digit second week is impossible.

JAWAANI JAANEMAN collected a low 18.75 crore nett in its first week but had a fair trend over the weekdays but whether its good enough to enable it to sustain in the second week is another matter. The problem is it may not have dropped much but the occupancy is low which does hit screenings in week two.

The film needs to do a double digit or near double digit second week for a respectable final total and it may prove difficult as there are not many multiplexes where the film has four shows - its generally 2 or 3 shows. The film did reasonable business in Delhi NCR but needed more support from the likes of Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata and Bangalore as these were the only places where the film had chances. The collections a little better than BAAZAAR which collected 16.50 crore nett. That film did 26 crore nett lifetime an JAWAANI JAANEMAN should surpass that unless it fares poorly in week two.

JAWAANI JAANEMAN dropped 8% on Tuesday which is a normal drop for this type of film and the collections now stand at 15.75 crore nett. It should add another 3 crore nett plus for a first week total of 19 crore nett as long as Wednesday and Thursday stay within 10% drops.

The collections of BAAZAAR (2018) were 16.50 crore nett so the first week will do a little better than that film. It will be down to the second Friday and the film will need to hold very well there as then it can have a chance of a double digit second week which would mean a respectable final number. There is MALANG and SHIKARA for competition but they are not the sort of films which can kill a holdover release.

JAWAANI JAANEMAN had a fair hold on Monday as it collected 1.75-2 crore nett but due to the poor start of the film, it needed Monday to be more closer to the first day total. The film has so far collected 14 crore nett in four days and its looking at a 19 crore nett week.

The Monday numbers keep the film afloat and it needs to hold at these levels over the next few days and then a minimal drop on the second Friday. Its probably a tall order as occupancy is generally low but the chance is there and the competition on Friday is not too strong also. The film was only going to appeal in the five metros and if collections in all metros could have been like Delhi NCR, then this film could have had a much better result. The film has trended better than PANGA and CHHAPAAK on Monday but the numbers are lower than the latter.

JAWAANI JAANEMAN had a low weekend with decent weekend growth but due to the low starting point it probably needed a bigger growth. Saturday was good but Sunday could not consolidate as the growth was not that good but being an urban film, its the Saturday which has to get the growth as the mass pockets will not push on Sunday.

The film collected 12.25 crore nett over the weekend which is better than the recent PANGA but lesser than CHHAPAAK. It is similar to another Saif Ali Khan starrer BAAZAAR (2018) which collected around 11 crore nett over the first weekend. The difference is that had its best collections in Mumbai circuit while this is better in the Delhi NCR area. The film needs a strong showing on Monday to get some sort of run and it cannot afford to have that normal trend of a 50% drop from Friday.

JAWAANI JAANEMAN had decent growth of 50% on Saturday as it collected 4.50 crore nett to take its two day total to 7.50 crore nett. The growth on Saturday does not tell much but its very important that it comes for a film to stay in the race.

It will be Monday that tells what this Saturday growth means but if the growth was only 20-30% it would have been over for the film. Obviously if the film can grow again similar to close to Saturday then that will be a huge plus for the film but that will not be easy. Last week PANGA had 110% growth on Saturday but it went out on Monday and there have been others with 50-60% growth which have sustained on Monday.

JAWAANI JAANEMAN will need Monday to be no more than 25-30% down from the first day though preferably a number closer to its a Friday number which would mean a good run.

There were a few films released this week with three Hindi films though only one film JAWAANI JAANEMAN had some awareness and this reflected in the collections. This urban rom com set in Overseas did show an up trend post 2 pm to collect in the 2.75-3 crore nett range but it does not mean much and its about big growth on Saturday and Sunday and then a strong hold on Monday.

The collections are better than the last Saif Ali Khan film LAAL KAPTAAN but that hardly looked a film and only god knows what that was. The film before LAAL KAPTAAN was BAAZAAR (2018) which opened in the same range as JAWAANI JAANEMAN so this film has to trend much better than BAAZAAR as that film did not do well at all.
