HOUSEFULL 4 had an excellent first with collections of 137 crore nett plus. The film collected 50 crore nett in its first weekend which is not a huge collection for a big film but it was a still a good number for pre Diwali. The film took of from Monday and there was no stopping it.

The film has scored all over though metros are a bit low but that is because films of this genre do less in metros and this film also has had a lot of negativity which does affect business in the metros. Still the collections in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Pune have been steady over the last two days.

The film has netted a huge 87 crore nett apprx over the Mon - Thu period with Gujarat/Saurashtra leading the way with a huge record breaking numbers of the last four days. The collections in Gujarat/Saurashtra will start to slow and they will not have that normal weekend trajectory but collections will be still at a high level. The film has also done excellent business in UP, CP Berar, CI and Rajasthan especially from Monday onward. These are the circuits where mass comedies work and they have done phenomenally well

The film has done the lifetime business of last weeks Diwali release THUGS OF HINDOSTAN in week one and it has also done similar business to what GOLMAAL AGAIN had done in week one but that film had released post Diwali so did not have those three dull opening days like HOUSEFULL 4. The collections over the last three days in Saurashtra are higher than the first three days of BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION which is pretty insane as that film is nearly double of any other film in Saurashtra in terms of lifetime numbers.

HOUSEFULL 4 is set to emerge a HIT as it continues to do very good business with collections of 15.50 crore nett on Wednesday. The film is a success and the second weekend should confirm its status of a HIT film. Normally it would be the Friday but that could have some holiday lag at places but by the end of the weekend the holiday period will be totally over. The film is now easily the highest grossing film of the HOUSEFULL franchise in just six days at 124 crore nett and it looks like going to a far higher level than the previous films in the franchise and could even be the best in terms of footfalls.

HOUSEFULL 4 continues to be record extraordinary collections in UP and Gujarat which are in holiday period while other places are generally good. The film has dropped around 35% from the Bhai Dooj holiday while there was a 30% drop on Bhai Dooj from the national holiday. This is solid trending for the film with collections at high levels.

15 crore nett plus on a Wednesday with regular ticket rates is a high number so when Gujarat and UP come off this holiday period there will be a drop in collections. Gujarat/Saurashtra has seen 4 crore nett plus on Wednesday which is phenomenal. The collections over the last three days in Saurashtra are higher than the first three days of BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION which is pretty insane as that film is nearly double of any other film in Saurashtra in terms of lifetime numbers

The last three days could have been even better if the film had 700 or 800 screens extra which it could not get due to MADE IN CHINA and SAAND KI AANKH. The dull weekend period hardly made a difference if it was 4900 screen release or 3900 screen release but the last three days has seen the film at high occupancy at many places and those extra screens would have been a great help and its not as if those other films are collecting.

HOUSEFULL 4 had a super strong hold on Tuesday with 24 crore nett apprx as collections across mass centres remained huge. The collections in Gujarat/Saurashtra are simply insane as day five almost hit the 5 crore nett number. These sort of numbers have only been seen by BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION or GOLMAAL AGAIN but it was the first weekend of those films and this is doing 5 crore nett in the circuit after the weekend. It is holiday period but still you need a product to hit these sort of crazy levels. Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot and even the smaller centres like Junagadh and Navsari are all record breaking.

The collections are also extraordinary in CP, CI Rajasthan, UP and Bihar as they recorded drops in the 10-20% range. It was a part holiday and that has helped the film but even where it is not a holiday the film has held up considering it came off a national holiday. The drops are mainly in the South but the film has already done pretty decent business there so far. East Punjab also saw a drop of 45% but that is normal for a film coming off a national holiday and on top its a multiplex dominated circuit.

The collections will be hit on Wednesday as the multiplexes come down to normal weekday ticket rates and on top its a working day which means there will be a noticeable fall in the metros but mass markets can hold up better as it is a holiday there and on top there is the white horse Gujarat/Saurashtra which could come out with another crazy number. The total so far for the film is 109 crore nett five days.

HOUSEFULL 4 had a huge Monday which is a national holiday and the biggest day of the year for collections as it recorded collections of 34.25 crore nett. The collections at mass centres were crazy as some circuits showed growth which was five times or more if compared to Sunday. Rajasthan which collected 50 lakhs nett on Sunday was 2.50 crore nett apprx on Monday while CI which collected 30 lakhs nett was 1.65 crore nett plus on Monday. The film was huge in Gujarat with around 5 core nett and only BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION or GOLMAAL AGAIN have had a 5 crore nett day in this circuit. The sub circuit Saurashtra saw an all time record outside BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION for any day as single screens recorded insane numbers.

The collections are the highest single day collections ever for an Akshay Kumar starrer. It is the highest collection ever for a comedy film and these records are coming on day four. It is also the third highest Monday collection of all time after BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION and TIGER ZINDA HAI. Both HOUSEFULL 4 and TIGER ZINDA HAI were national holidays and BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION had a restricted holiday.

The growth was less in the South as it did well here on Sunday but even without the growth it is healthy collections in the South for a mass comedy film. The film has now collected an excellent 85 crore nett in four days.

HOUSEFULL 4 did well on Diwali day with collections of 14.25 crore nett which is more than the earlier estimates as business in Mumbai and South has come out higher. There were huge drops in the film in Delhi/UP and East Punjab but Mumbai and South were very similar to the first day numbers. The business from Mumbai and South alone was 60% for the film on Sunday. The pre Diwali affect is less here so collections don't drop like they do in North and Central.

Nizam/Andhra recorded better collections than day one as it collected 1.25 crore nett. Mumbai collected 6 crore nett taking the circuit to around 19 crore nett. There is a crazy difference between Mumbai and Delhi/UP as the latter was just 1.75 crore nett but this is because of pre Diwali. The weekend business for the film was 50.75 crore nett which is the highest ever for pre Diwali beating the mark of KRRISH 3 in 2013 which did around 49 crore nett.

The big day in collections will be on Monday as its a national holiday and ideally this should have been a first day as it has huge potential when it is the first day. Most opening day records are set on this day.

HOUSEFULL 4 held up well on day two as collections were in the same range as day one. The film collected around 18 crore nett and in most areas the film showed an upturn in business with the falls coming mainly in Maharashtra, Nizam/Andhra and Bihar. These mass areas had performed better than the rest of the country on day one and hence so saw drops. The areas which witnessed the pre Diwali affect to a larger extent on Friday managed to show some growth.

The drop is limited if we go past history on films released on a Friday before Diwali. Mass films like KRRISH 3 (2013) and SHIVAAY (2016) saw a drop of around 10% while a metro film like AE DIL HAI MUSHKIL (2016) saw a drop of 5% and the trend for HOUSEFULL 4 is better than all these films. There is sure to be a drop on Sunday as Diwali day is a very poor day for business though it is territory specific with North and Central taking huge hits with hardly any footfalls while Mumbai and South drop less.

The two day business of the film is 36.50 crore nett and it could do a weekend of 50 crore nett though that is not a given as collections are likely to be hit hard on Sunday.
