HERO has a had a fair first week of around 30 crore nett but collections came down from Monday onwards. The total is mainly due to the decent weekend collections and due to the drop from Monday the film will not add much in the second week.

The business of the film was pretty good in Mumbai, CP Berar and CI over the weekend but only CP Berar and CI held over the weekdays. The film has done reasonably well in these two circuits. a hold in Mumbai over the weekdays could have made a difference to the film as it represents a large chunk of all India business.

The film failed in North India from day one as Delhi/UP grossed around 6 crore nett and East Punjab was less than 3 crore nett. It remains to be seen how big the second week drop is but its unlikely that the film will gross much more than 35 crore nett.

HERO dropped on Monday especially in the big centres. The drop was less in places like Rajasthan, CI, CP Berar and Bihar where the drop was less than 50% in some of them. The first four day business of HERO is as follows.

The first week will gross around 30-31 crore nett which is reasonably for this film but only if second week was to sustain which may be hard.

HERO had a decent weekend as it grossed 20.50 crore nett. The film did well in some circuits like Mumbai, Rajasthan, CP Berar, CI and Bihar while underperformed in some others. The first weekend business of HERO is as follows.

Monday will decide the fate of the film as it does not have a clear run so it has to hold up on the weekdays to get ample screen time in week two.
