GOOD NEWWZ had a super strong second week of 51 crore nett apprx though it did see the first noticeable drop of its run on the second Thursday. But it has come on the 14th day; so, it hardly matters. The drop in the second week is just a little under 60% which is strong trending. The week numbers for the film are 176 crore nett apprx.

The second week collections of the film are the third highest for 2019 after KABIR SINGH and URI and these three films are only ones to cross 50 crore nett in week two. The film could become the highest NETT grosser of Akshay Kumar depending on the holds over the next two weeks. The GROSS numbers is not likely to reach as it is far less in Gujarat and Maharashtra where there is state levy and a higher service charge respectively. The film is a BLOCKBUSTER HIT in East Punjab and Delhi NCR. The collections in Delhi city from just under 47 theatres stand at a crazy 20 crore nett apprx after two weeks.

GOOD NEWWZ maintained steady collections on its second Tuesday collecting around 4.50 crore nett. The total so far for the film is 168 crore nett. The second week is heading for 50-51 crore nett total which will be third best second week total of the year behind KABIR SINGH and URI. It will beat the numbers of HOUSEFULL 4, MISSION MANGAL and WAR.

The film has a grossed a huge 42 crore in Delhi/UP and East Punjab stands at 23 crore nett. It has crossed KESARI in East Punjab and will cross WAR by the end of the week to stand as the second highest grossing film of 2019 in the circuit. Then it should go on and cross the 25.75 crore nett of KABIR SINGH to be the top grosser in the circuit of 2019. In Delhi/UP it will be third best after KABIR SINGH and WAR. The performance in Mumbai is less as Gujarat/Saurashtra in average; it has collected around 45 crore nett in Mumbai so far.

GOOD NEWWZ continued to maintain well on its second Monday with collections in the 4.75-5 crore nett range. The holiday period is completely at an end with offices and schools back to normal and keeping that in mind, a near 5 crore nett number is good.

The film should do a 50 crore nett plus second week and both MISSION MANGAL and HOUSEFULL 4 did fall a little short of this mark. This will make it the highest second week for Akshay Kumar this year and highest of career. The total collections after 11 days are 163.50 crore nett and the film is looking at a finish at around the 200 crore nett mark. This would be a huge number for this film as its mainly the big cities contributing. The numbers in mass markets like CP, CI and Gujarat/Saurashtra are even less than MISSION MANGAL. Chandigarh, Gurgaon and Noida are the highlights as these three centres have collected like a 300 crore nett plus film and will be ahead of the likes of WAR and KABIR SINGH.

GOOD NEWWZ had an excellent Wednesday with collections of over 20 crore nett as it collected 22.50 crore nett which has taken the six day figure to almost 116 crore nett The weekend of the film was 65 crore nett and it has added a huge 51 crore nett in the last three days due to the holiday period.

The collections on Wednesday were similar to Saturday in the metros but outside the metros the numbers were better which meant a better overall total. The film should now emerge a SUPER HIT though it will be the Friday number which will confirm this. There will be a drop on Thursday also as its the day after the big holiday but a 125 crore nett week should be there for the film and maybe even more.

GOOD NEWWZ has had an excellent first week with collections of 126 crore nett in the first week. The film had a very good numbers over the weekend but the weekdays have held very well and with the benefit of the holiday period it has come out with a very good first week. The film collected 65 crore nett over the weekend and a huge 61 crore nett over the weekdays.

The test was the business on Thursday but it cam e through that with a very strong number in double digits. the drop from Monday to Thursday is just a little over 20% which is excellent as there was the holiday period in between. The film is a sure HIT and should emerge a SUPER HIT with even a decent hold on its second Friday. The film is doing blockbuster numbers in East Punjab and Delhi/NCR with other circuits are generally good barring the likes of Bihar, Odisha and Assam.

GOOD NEWWZ showed good growth of around 40% on its second Saturday to collect 11.50 crore nett. The growth is a bit less for a second Saturday but that is because of the holiday period and some of this Saturday audience would have seen the film over the holiday period.

Still its a very good 11.50 crore nett total taking the the total of the film to 144.50 crore nett. The film remains tops in East Punjab with around 20 crore nett in nine days, it only needs another 5 crore nett in the circuits to become the top grosser in the circuit which it should get. Delhi/UP is next best with 36 crore nett in nine days. Delhi city has collected a phenomenal 16.25 crore nett while Noida is equally outstanding with 5 crore nett. This 21.25 crore nett has come from just 60 theatres in Delhi city and Noida. The other sectors which make up the Delhi/UP circuit are not so strong. Ghaziabad is good while UP state is average.

GOOD NEWWZ had a very good second weekend as it collected 33.50 crore nett and took its ten day total to 158.50 crore nett. The second weekend of the film was very similar to MISSION MANGAL and HOUSEFULL 4 which collected in the 33 crore nett range also.

The film will cross the business of films like SAAHO (Hindi), TOTAL DHAMAAL and KESARI today (Monday) to become the seventh highest grossing film of 2019 and then its likely to finish in the range of 4th-7th as the top three cant be caught. HOUSEFULL 4, BHARAT and MISSION MANGAL are all in the 190-210 crore nett range and GOOD NEWWZ should also end up here though a lot depends on the third week when it faces major competition for TANHAJI: THE UNSUNG WARRIOR and CHAAPAAK. The plus could be these films are not the Delhi/Punjab type of films. So GOOD NEWWZ could still get a big chunk of the audience there where it is so strong.
