GADAR 2 had a fantastic fourth week with collections in the 26.50 crore nett range. It is the third highest fourth week of all time after BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONLCUSION and URI. These are the only three films with 25 crore nett plus in week four. The only other film to get over even 20 crore nett in week four is KGF - CHAPTER 2.

There was the expected drop on the last day of the week due to JAWAN and a huge reduction of shows but still the film had fantastic collections in Gujarat of over 30 lakhs nett. The film will also be the first in history to hit 125 crore nett in both Mumbai and Delhi/UP. The records have fallen or are going to fall across all Hindi belts and the film is on its way towards creating HISTORY as it becomes the highest grossing Hindi film of all time.

GADAR 2 has around 7-8 crore nett to cover which it should do in a week or two. JAWAN has put the breaks on and it had a clash limiting the shows and competition around it but it remained an unstoppable force. The business is very limited down South but it has been an unparalleled craze across Hindi speaking markets as the dialogues and scenes become iconic again. Basically history has just repeated itself like in 2001 (when GADAR - EK PREM KATHA had released).

The collections of GADAR 2 till date are as follows.

-----------------------------

GADAR 2 saw collections come down on its fifth Friday as it collected around 85 lakhs nett. The drop is 80% as compared to last Friday mainly due to the release of JAWAN as there is a huge reduction of shows.

The total collections of the film are now are 505 crore nett plus but it should settle from here and should be looking to reach the 510 crore nett mark by the end of the fifth week. The film is now close to being the second biggest grosser ever in Mumbai circuit thanks to a phenomenal Gujarat which is still going strong.

East Punjab is heading for an ALL TIME RECORD also in the next few days and though many would have expected this circuit to lead, it was always unlikely as business in Punjab (political) is not what it used to be before the pandemic. There is improvement but its very slow and at a tedious pace. The fact this film has reached 50 crore nett in the circuit is a miracle and it will need the circuit to recover well for these numbers to be beaten.

GADAR 2 remains rock steady in the weekdays of the fourth week as the film is still not dropping with collections going up on Wednesday. The collections of the other holdover DREAM GIRL 2 went down. So, it was either because there is a much higher ratio of business in Gujarat coming for GADAR 2 where Janmashtami is huge or it has a huge reduction of shows from today and hence, viewers are catching it before its out from cinemas.

The film has collected around 25.50 crore nett so far in the fourth week and probably would have done 28 crore in the fourth week but with JAWAN releasing today, the film will see a huge drop. The collections will probably be more closer to the 27 crore nett though it remains to be seen how much the film collects today.

GADAR 2 has collected a huge 503 crore nett till date and it should collect through September to take this total higher and above the likes of BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONLCUSION and PATHAAN.

The collections of GADAR 2 till date are as follows.

Sunday - 8,00,00,000 apprx

Monday - 2,50,00,000 apprx

Wednesday - 2,75,00,000 apprx

GADAR 2 continues to go strong on its fourth Monday with collections of 2.50 crore nett and take its overall total to 498 crore nett. The 500 crore nett mark will be hit for the third time in history and it will have taken this film 26-27 days. PATHAAN took thirty days.

The fourth Monday has seen a drop of 40% which is little higher than normal but that is because the Friday number was inflated by holiday leftover in circuits like UP and CI. The fourth week is now heading for around 26 crore nett which is fantastic total for week four. The film is fighting for shows against a huge film like JAWAN in week five and that pretty much shows the insane success of the film.

GADAR 2 will be the highest grossing Hindi film ever just like GADAR - EK PREM KATHA in 2001. It is just about does it do it in week five or week six.

The collections of GADAR 2 till date are as follows.

GADAR 2 had a huge fourth weekend despite being hit by the cricket match on Saturday though it made up that lost ground on Sunday. The fourth Sunday again saw extraordinary collections across the mass belts and if we take out the Raksha Bandhan factor on Friday, the trend is basically 50% down from last weekend.

The trend will not hold the same for weekdays as last week say holiday period over the weekdays. The fourth weekend of the film is almost 18 crore nett which is almost 5 crore nett more than the fourth week of PATHAAN. The film is now comfortably ahead of PATHAAN as after the fourth weekend that film stood at 487 crore nett. Here the total is 495 crore nett and its had two days less as PATHAAN released on a Wednesday.

The fourth weekend itself is the third best of all time after BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONLCUSION and URI. Again above the numbers is the appreciation gained for the film which has never been seen in recent times as even though it will be the highest grosser it would have done much more without a clash. GADAR - EK PREM KATHA also clashed in 2001 with LAGAAN but at that time, it did not matter much much as both films had their own set of theatres. Today it becomes about sharing the screen space or losing some of it when another film comes.

The collections of GADAR 2 till date are as follows.

Friday - 7,00,00,000 apprx

Saturday - 13,25,00,000 apprx

Saturday - 5,50,00,000 apprx

Sunday - 8,00,00,000 apprx

GADAR 2 showed growth of 30% on its fourth Saturday which is less than normal but it has mainly because the Friday collections were boosted the Raksha Bandhan period. Also, there was the big India vs Pakistan match on Saturday which hit business for all films while it was on.

GADAR 2 collected 5.50 crore nett on its fourth Saturday to take its total to almost 488 crore nett. The film will hit the 500 crore nett mark by the end of its fourth week and will need to collect around 10-12 crore nett post the release of JAWAN to beat the all India records of PATHAAN and BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONLCUSION.

The insane collections of  film in Gujarat, UP and Rajasthan still continues and centres in the latter two will be setting records by margins. Both Mumbai circuit and Delhi/UP circuit are also going to comfortably beat the numbers of PATHAAN though Mumbai will stay well below BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONLCUSION.

The collections of GADAR 2 till date are as follows.

GADAR 2 is still maintaining extraordinary collections and is now heading towards becoming the highest nett grosser of all time as it collects 4.25 crore nett on its fourth Friday. The total collections of the film stand at 482 crore nett and its likely to be at around 500 crore nett by the end of its fourth week.

There will be still be some post Raksha Bandhan factor in the film as collections in a few states remain high and this coupled with the big cricket match on Saturday it could be that the growth is not like the previous weekends. But irrespective of that, its going to another big week for the film. The week will be shortened though due to JAWAN releasing on Thursday. Hence, the collections will be hit on the last day of the week.

GADAR 2 is already the top grossing film of all time in Delhi/UP, Rajasthan and Bihar. East Punjab and CI and possibly Gujarat are looking to follow and eventually all India will follow. The numbers are there for the film but more than that it is the appreciation which no film since the first GADAR in 2001 has seen and that too it is coming from the core heavily populated areas who cannot get enough of this film.
