The film is not really for Overseas markets but is looking to close at around $7.75 million which is comparatively a better number than its India number. The collections of the film will stay less than DABANGG and DABANGG 2 and the footfalls are way less. DABANGG had footfalls of 2.50 crore while DABANGG 2 was 2.05 crore. DABANGG 3 collected 3.50 crore on New Years Day to take its total to 132.50 crore nett. The film has benefited for the holiday period which will mean a second week in the 20 crore nett which is more than BHARAT (2019) but without this period it was unlikely it would do better than BHARAT in the second week.

DABANGG 3 had a low second week of 20 crore nett apprx and this only came due to the holiday period; otherwise the numbers would be lower. The two week collections are around 133.75 crore nett and there is not much to come. At best it may just about reach 140 crore nett but can be tough as well.

The film will be the second worst performing Salman Khan of the decade after VEER (2010) and at the time of VEER, the expectations of a Salman Khan film were not like they are now. The film will have lower footfalls than TUBELIGHT though it will surpass VEER. DABANGG 3 and VEER  will be the only two Salman Khan films this decade not to get 1 crore footfalls. All the other released topped the 1 crore footfalls (this mark is like a genuine 100 crore film be it in 1969 or 2019).

DABANGG 3 collected just 50 lakhs nett on its third Friday which will mean another 80% drop in collections this week which means it will be a struggle to reach the 140 crore nett mark. Next week the film will hardly see any collections due to the release of new films.

The fair value of this film can be around 155-160 crore nett or even a little more due to the issues its faced in its first weekend. It could even be a little more as you cant judge public psyche at that time but even if its more the film is still a disappointment as eventually you should cover some of those losses and sustain if you have merits which this film did not.

DABANGG 3 collected 2.50 crore nett in its third weekend going 80% down from its last weekend. There was good growth on Sunday as mass markets showed went up but it hardly matters as collections are so low. The total collections of the film are around 134.25 crore nett and the film is probably looking at a 136-137 crore nett finish.

The film was dubbed in South in three languages but these did not fair well collecting under 5 crore nett which is half the business of WAR in dubbed versions. DANGAL and PADMAAVAT remain the top films in dubbed versions as both did around 13 crore nett in the dubbed versions. DABANGG 3 would not have had much of a market there as it looked like a South film while it probably needs a huge budget and extraordinary look to have some sort of break out of this low 10 crore nett range in South.

After Wednesday, there will not be much business coming for the film and its looking a 135-140 crore nett finish and that is not even enough to put it among the top ten grossers of 2019. DABANGG 3 had a low second weekend of 10.75 crore nett which is a 85% drop from last week. The ten day total of the film stands at a little under 125 crore nett. The weekend also did not see the film grow much as business in multiplexes is mediocre.

The film should benefit a little from the coming holiday period but as collections are low now, the benefit will be just 2-3 crore nett. The film has not been appreciated but the biggest jolt was the law and order problem practically across the country in the first weekend when it was not screened at many places. Even though it has faced rejection, it would have become an AVERAGE film theatrically if the first weekend was normal.

The recovery will still be huge due to satellite and digital and maybe the film may fare better on those platforms as its seen a limited audience theatrically with footfalls struggling to be even 1 crore in India.

DABANGG 3 did not grow much on the second Friday as the main growth came in places like UP, CP, CI and Gujarat/Saurashtra (40-50% growth) while the bigger multiplexes did not grow much as the film has been pretty much rejected here and there is the competition from GOOD NEWWZ.

DABANGG 3 has collected around 120 crore nett in nine days and the only plus for the film is that it will remain in the single screens till the release TANHAJI: THE UNSUNG WARRIOR in a couple of weeks. A film like SAAHO (Hindi) also had good ratio of business coming from single screens and DABANGG 3 ratio could end up better but the fact remains even its single screen business will remain below SAAHO (India) which it should not be.

DABANGG 3 saw a big drop on the second Friday as it lost a huge number of screens at multiplexes. The film managed to hold the single screens better but they have also seen a drop in business. The drop means that the film will not reach the 150 crore nett though real value of the film will easily be 150 crore nett plus as it was hit by the law & order issue last week especially over the weekend. The film is still hit in UP a little but now its just about a few lakhs as collections are low.

DABANGG 3 has managed fair business in the first week of nearly 114 crore nett and although the film has not really had a huge fall on weekdays, the trend of the film is weak. The film was held up by the holiday factor on Tuesday and Wednesday and the collections on Thursday were not that bad considering the Monday number.

But generally the film has not found acceptance and this will tell eventually on the collections of this film. The film still has a chance to reach 150 crore nett depending on the second week. Even if it does not reach 150 crore nett, the fair value will be over 150 crore nett due to problems faced over the weekend. But an action film with a star like Salman Khan should really be doing 200 crore nett, eyes closed.

This is where the disappointment lies in the film that it has not bought in the sort of audience it should as there are not many Hindi films today which potentially can bring in the footfalls and DABANGG 3 was one of them but it was not to be.

DABANGG 3 did good business on Wednesday due to the national holiday for Christmas. The film collected around 15.50 crore nett which was a jump of 65% from Tuesday. The trend was much weaker than the holdover releases over the last two days as there was an easing of the situation of protests but on Wednesday the film jumped like the other releases allowing a little for the fact that its a much wider release.

This film has collected 107 crore nett so far and it will be the fall on Thursday which will determine the first week. The fall will be big coming off a national holiday. The reduction of screenings in week two will happen in the multiplexes. It will manage to retain single screens but even here, the business is not at levels what it should be.

There is not an issue of losses as the film has only cost 105 crore including PA without the remuneration of Salman Khan who is the producer and distributor and 130 crore alone came from television and satellite. But more important than economics is performance for the big films as being in huge plusses is pretty easy especially when the big star is producer and its the performance which is a disappointment for this film.

DABANGG 3 held up on Tuesday at the same level as Monday with collections of 9.25 crore nett. Although there is no drop, it should have done better as its a day before the national holiday and also the ground level situation with the protesting is better than the weekend.

This has seen the other films playing making gains though they are all mainly playing in the big centres while DABANGG 3 has much wider screenings and these is still unrest in places like UP as many centres still have low collections. The total collections of the film are 91.50 crore nett in five days and it remains to be seen what the growth it can get on the national holiday.

The growth will determine the first week number and the target is to get over the 110 crore nett mark which would take into seventh position for the highest first week numbers.

DABANGG 3 dropped almost 60% on Monday as it collected 9.25 crore nett. This has taken the four day numbers to 82 crore nett plus and its looking a 105-110 crore nett first week depending on the jump it gets on Wednesday. The film should have been looking at coming back up towards its day one number on Wednesday but that looks tough now.

The film saw a huge drop in Punjab and Delhi (never really got going due to major centres protesting) as the film had many of those elements which are there in regular South films which audiences in these parts have never taken to. The holds in other places are better than Punjab and Delhi but still more or less all circuits have a 50% plus fall.

The film has not worked but even still if the film had a normal weekend, the business of the film could have been AVERAGE. But with a Monday drop like this, even AVERAGE business looks tough unless it somehow sustains from here.

DABANGG 3 had a weekend of 73 crore nett which would be a good or excellent weekend for most films but its an under performance here. Despite the film not finding appreciation across the board, if it was not for these law and order problems across the country, it would have been a good weekend and the film would have been on its way to becoming a HIT with just normal holds. Now the film has to try and cover the lost ground which may prove difficult as some areas are not performing even if we take into account the trouble across the country.

The Delhi/UP market is worst hit as the film should have collected far more as the figures in this circuit would have been just 10-15% below Mumbai while now they are almost 50% lower. The centres which are normal in UP show this circuit has liked the film the most but it is not being reflected in the numbers. It remains crucial how the film holds on Monday as it can hold well, then it gain well on the national holiday on Wednesday. But if there is a major drop, then the gains will not be big on Wednesday.

The real value weekend for the film would be around 85 crore nett which would have been a good weekend for the film but it was not to be.

DABANGG 3 collected 22 crore nett on its second day as collections were a little down from the previous day. The film did make gains in some places but that was mainly because the situation is a little better in those centres and more screenings were possible but it was the opposite in other places.

The film has collected 44.50 crore nett in two days which is less for this film, not in terms of recovery or anything but because of the expectations that come from a Salman Khan starrer and on top of that, it's the DABANGG franchise. The fact that there was no growth would not have been much of an issue if everything was normal and it was not losing this revenue due to these external law and order issues.

The problem for the film now is how will it recover the 12-15 crore nett it will lose over its first weekend and it is pretty much impossible as the reports are also average. Even if reports were good, it would have been a tough task as one, there is no timeline as to when these issues will subside and secondly there is a big film releasing next week.

The aim for the film now is to have good growth on Sunday and then to sustain on Monday. So if the law and order situation gets better, it can take some advantage although there is no chance to recover the big chunk of collections that have gone over the weekend.

DABANGG 3 (Hindi) collected around 22-23 crore nett on day one as it got hit by the ongoing problem across the country of the Citizenship Bill. It has caused protests and violence in practically all parts of the country leading to cinemas remaining shut at many places and generally less footfalls at theaters due to the law and order issue.

The number is low for such a big film but if the problems are factored in, then its a good number as the film would have lost around 20% of its business. If we take 28 crore nett apprx as fair value then that is probably under the expectations of the trade but when a film looks a bit like a South type film then you are risking an under performance in Delhi, Punjab and Kolkata and this is there even if we allow for the issues. If we look at the South films which have put up numbers like BAAHUBALI, 2.0 and SAAHO, they did not have a South look and the ones which have not done that well like SYE RAA NARASIMHA REDDY and KGF (barring Mumbai/Maharashtra circuit which is much more receptive to South type films) had that South feel.

This Delhi, Punjab and Kolkata under performance has come from the likes of ROWDY RATHORE and SINGHAM which also had that South feel though they eventually held at a level due to the content. This first DABANGG had that rare feel of an actual raw Hindi action film and for that film it was North leading the way with huge numbers for that time.

The external problems facing the film has made it essential for the film to get good growth on Saturday and considering its a mass film,  growth is not easy. Even at 28 crore nett it would have needed to show an upturn but it could have got away with less growth. It is has lower costs in production in terms of the last few Salman Khan films like RACE 3 and BHARAT though they had rebates coming as were shot abroad. But these lower costs can also been seen in the product and the scale does push collections in multiplexes of some circuits. It is crucial for the film that the trend is upwards with even 15-20% growth giving it a chance.

The film has been pretty much written off like THUGS OF HINDOSTAN, ZERO, SAAHO (Hindi) and HOUSEFULL 4. But SAAHO (Hindi) did very well and HOUSEFULL 4 did extremely well and it remains to seen which way DABANGG 3 goes.
