BANJO fell further on Monday and has collected a little over 7 crore nett in five days and is looking at a lifetime figure of 9-10 crore nett. The lifetime figure of BANGISTAN was 5.33 crore nett which has been crossed by BANJO. TERE NAAL LOVE HO GAYA grossed 19.50 crore nett in 2012 and BANJO will stay well below that film. The film will gross around 4.5 crore nett in Maharashtra if we include the also in clude the Maharashtra centres outside the Mumbai circuit like Nagpur, Aurangabad, Latur etc. The first five day business of BANJO is as follows
Friday - 1,50,00,000
Saturday - 1,75,00,000
Sunday - 2,25,00,000
Monday - 85,00,000
Tuesday - 75,00,000
TOTAL - 7,10,00,000 apprx
As far as films released this year goes it is even lower than films like FREAKY ALI and SAALA KHADOOS.
--------------------
BANJO was a poor fare grossing 8.50 crore nett in the first week. The film is out of most theatres across the country barring a show or two in theatres of Maharashtra.
The other releases of the week like DAYS OF TAFREE and PARCHED were washouts failing to even hit the 1 crore nett mark over the week.

BANJO dropped on Monday which was expected and the film is only likely to see a one week run at the box office. The film has failed even in Maharashtra where the content may have held more appeal. The first week is looking to close at around 8.50 crore nett and from there lifetime business of 10 crore is a stiff task. Films like FREAKY ALI and MADAARI went to 13.5 crore nett and 17.50 crore nett respectively. The first four day business of BANJO is as follows
Friday - 1,50,00,000
Saturday - 1,75,00,000
Sunday - 2,25,00,000
Monday - 85,00,000
TOTAL - 6,35,00,000 apprx
DAYS OF TAFREE and PARCHED also fell apart on Monday despite having very low collections. Both films could not even match their Friday collections of 15 and 10 lakhs respectively. Both films were down around 40%.

BANJO had a poor first day grossing around 1.50 crore nett apprx with collections being poor all over. The Mumbai circuit was a little better at 60 lakhs nett and also CP Berar at 11 lakhs nett but even here the film has fared poorly. The collections in Delhi/UP and East Punjab were a total disaster. The collections of the film are lower tha MADAARI (1.98 crore) and FREAKY ALI (1.91 crore) and in the same range as films like SAALA KHADOOS (1.26 crore) and VEERAPPAN (1.23 crore). the thing it has common with SAALA KHADOOS and VEERAPPAN is that they both looked like regional films and so does BANJO. The collections of the film are a little better than BANGISTAN thanks to the Mumbai/Maharashtra area but below TERE NAAL LOVE HO GAYA which remains the biggest opener of Riteish Deshmukh as main lead.
The other releases DAYS OF TAFREE, DIL SALA SANKI, PARCHED, Wah Taj and YEH HAI JUDGEMENT HANGED TILL DEATH were very dull with many of these films hardly having any collections. Only DAYS OF TAFREE and PARCHED had some collections. The approx opening day figures of this weeks releases are as follows.
1. Banjo - 1,25,00,000
2. Days Of Tafree - 15,00,000
3. Parched - 10,00,000
-----------------------
BANJO had a poor second day as it hardly showed any growth which seals its fate if it was not already sealed on day one. The collections of the film are more than 50% from Mumbai, CP Berar and Nizam and outside these circuits the figures are a total disaster. In North Indian cities the film is doing 50% of the business of a film like FREAKY ALI. The first two day business of BANJO is as follows
Friday - 1,50,00,000
Saturday - 1,75,00,000
TOTAL - 3,25,00,000 apprx
The other releases like DAYS OF TAFREE and PARCHED had better growth but with such irrelevant collections on day one you have to grow 20 or 30 fold and even doubling up is no good which PARCHED nearly achieved on Saturday.
-----------------------
BANJO has fared very poorly at the box office with just 5.50 crore nett apprx coming over the first weekend. The collections BANJO are less than other poor performers like MADAARI, 1920 LONDON, FREAKY ALI and SAALA KHADOOS. It has hardly grossed 1 crore nett in Delhi/UP and that tells the story of the film. Mumbai has performed better due to the Maharashtra/Thane belt but even the collections here are not close to the Average mark. In some cinemas a flop like RAAZ REBOOT has collected better in its second weekend than BANJO has in its first weekend. The first weekend business of BANJO is as follows
Friday - 1,50,00,000
Saturday - 1,75,00,000
Sunday - 2,25,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 5,50,00,000 apprx
DAYS OF TAFREE and PARCHED are box office disasters but that was expected. Both films grossed around 60 lakhs nett over the weekend. The latter managed some growth on Saturday but its a lost case from day one with just 10 lakhs opening day.
