I feel fitter and sexier than ever before-Parineeti Chopra

After wrapping up an extensive schedule in Delhi and Nepal with co-star Arjun Kapoor of their next film, Parineeti Chopra decided to “cleanse herself” and in the first week of the New Year the 29-year-old actress took off to a luxurious wellness spa overlooking the Mulshi lake with two girlfriends. She rented a villa with in-house massage facilities, butler service, a private gym and an infinity pool.

The resort, three hours away from the city, is a favourite with Sonakshi Sinha, Malaika Arora Khan, Bipasha Basu and husband Karan Singh Grover, and many other B-town celebs, and Parineeti asserts that kicking off 2018 with wellness, health and inner peace was a great idea. “The smog in Delhi affected my throat badly so it was a relief to be amidst nature and cleanse myself,” says the actress who went trekking to the Mulshi dam and river.

For Parineeti who was last seen in Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal Again, the last two years have been all about fitness and understanding her body better. “This is the fittest I have ever been and I am loving it. I have always been a happy person but the new-found fitness has provided me with more stamina, energy and flexibility and I am less tired now. It has also started to reflect in my work,” beams the actress who has been getting the thumbs up from the fashion police for her recent red carpet turns. “My confidence level has upped and I feel sexier than ever before. Earlier, I wouldn’t wear sleeveless tops and dresses that exposed even a hint of cleavage because I was not comfortable with my figure. Now, I love dressing up and even before I slip into an outfit, I can visualise myself in it. I feel great to have undergone such a transformation. I like that I have a fun, experimental, updated wardrobe,” she exults.

"When it comes to staying young, a mind lift beats a face-lift any day!“ Ravishing actor and mother of two, Karisma Kapoor believes just that and recently took her wellness detox vacation at Atmantan, a first-of-its-kind international integrated luxury wellness resort in Mulshi, Pune.

Spread over 42 acres of lush valley, and nestled in the folds of the majestic Sahyadri Mountains, Atmantan overlooks the pristine Mulshi Lake. Most uniquely, this resort is founded on crystalline mountains that are known for their healing frequencies; Karisma considers this the epicentre of wellness and transformation of the mind, body and soul; after all Atmantan is the divine amalgamation of the atma (soul), mana (mind) and the tann (body).

Guests here are offered various evidence-based retreats that encompass all their wellness goals. When looking to detox, Atmantan offers the master cleanse retreat, which is a synergistic formula for resetting the organs and systems of the body through cellular cleansing and toxin elimination. It even assists the body in ridding itself of any emotional and hormonal imbalance, therein recuperating and rejuvenating the mind and body. Karisma's detox regime comprised an international selection of powerful treatments that all promote detoxification ranging from the Hot Stone Message, the Hammam, colon cleansing to the Taoist Chi Nei Tsang treatment, which in itself has become the benchmark for detoxification worldwide. After fitness and dance workouts, the day concludes with meditation and pranayam in this crystalline abode. The spa cuisine here, a favourite of Karisma, is refreshingly organic, (with individual calorie, and nutritional information), and sumptuous to taste. The restaurants offer guests a custom-made specialised detox menu that assists the body cleanse by transitioning it gradually from solid to liquid.

During her stay in this land of prana Karisma took part in various traditional healing and modern fitness practices, all of which transcended into her holistic detoxification and transformation.
