Asin Thottumkal, who disappeared from the spotlight after the 2012 release Khiladi 786 in 2012, is back in business.
The Malayali beauty will be seen playing a fiesty Punjabi girl in Umesh Shukla's upcoming romantic drama All Is Well, opposite Abhishek Bachchan. But the 29-yearold is more taken by her other co-star, Rishi Kapoor, who plays Abhishek's father.
The unit recently wrapped up a 15-day schedule in Nashik and Asin took to social media to share her excitement and posted a picture with Rishi captioned, "A breather between shoot with the #cutestcostar #chintuuncle (sic)."
Interestingly the scenes currently being filmed in Mumbai are part of a re-shoot after Smriti Irani was replaced by Supriya Pathak.

Triple treat: Asin holidays in Maldives, celebrates Onam in Cochin, buys 2nd penthouse

Asin Thottumkal celebrated Onam yesterday in Cochin
after a decade, and she had her parents for company. She is also
currently doing up her second penthouse apartment in the city. The
actress tells us, “I own two sea-facing, 6BHK, penthouse apartments on a
beautiful street on Marine Drive in Cochin, facing the port. One house I
had for a long time, now I own two and both are on the same road next
to each other. One faces the Rainbow Bridge and the other, the Houseboat
Bridge. I am now doing the interior designing of the new apartment that
I had bought a couple of years ago. My friends say that the view is so
beautiful that I don’t need to go to resorts now,” she laughs.
The actress stopped in Cochin to celebrate Onam after her holiday in Maldives. “I was in Maldives for a break and it was the Onam weekend and as Cochin is just a couple of hours away from Maldives I thought why not make a stopover and celebrate Onam in Cochin? I will be decorating the house with flower carpets and lamps and break my diet for a day and have Onam lunch on a banana leaf with traditional vegetarian dishes. Normally, an Onam lunch comprises 45 dishes including Kerala boiled rice, papadum, sambar, aviyal etc, ending with payasam — the king of desserts as we call it here.

While most people struggle to learn a second language in their lifetime, Asin Thottumkal has learned seven! And presently she is self-tutoring herself in the eighth language — Spanish.
Says a friend of the actress, “Asin has a flair for languages and picks them up easily. She trains herself through do-it-yourself books. The actress is fluent in seven languages which include Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, French, English and a smattering of Italian.” Her interest in languages has helped her to work in different film industries like Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
A friend of the actress reveals the secret behind her new passion, “Asin loves travelling and has visited various European cities on her own. Recently she went to Spain and fell in love with the language. Also, a lesser-known fact is that her rakhi brother is Spanish, which seems to have doubled her efforts at learning the language. Since her return, she has been picking up Spanish from books. She’s a fast learner and usually takes about three months to speak the language fluently.” What next? Russian?
