Mumbai: Police are in the process of writing to immigration officials over allegations that actor Imran Khan holds an overseas citizen of India card and had violated rules by participating in CJP’s stir on Saturday, said senior Gamdevi police inspector Prashant Mohite.

BJP’s Kirit Somaiya, who had flagged the alleged violation, said Khan is mentioned in a general FIR but a separate case needs to be filed against him.

He said he will visit the police station on Monday to ensure a separate FIR is lodged.
