HAI JAWANI TOH ISHQ HONA HAI collected 3.50 crore nett on Monday which is a 55% drop from the first day. The collection remains on the lower side but it is better than expected as after the business on Saturday, the film was pretty much written off as it did not grow on the second day, which is rare. The Monday figure is better than the likes of TERI BAATON MEIN AISA ULJHA JIYA and SUNNY SANSKARI KI TULSI KUMARI. The Saturday figure is hard to explain and it must have something to do with the offer being turned off for much of the day and in advance as well which meant Friday getting a better result.

The Monday does not change the overall picture as the collections are only 28 crore nett till date but from a film which looked likely to be struggling to run post the weekend on Saturday, it seems like it can now run at least for two weeks until the next major film releases. The film will see an increase in business on Tuesday. So then, it becomes about the Wednesday and another day of 3 crore nett or more will be a plus.

BANDAR is a poor fare as it collects a little under 2.50 crore nett in four days and teh first week will probably be in the 3.25 crore nett range. the Monday collections of teh film were in the 25-30 lakhs range.

HAI JAWANI TOH ISHQ HONA HAI collected in the 3.75-4 crore nett range on its first Tuesday as it got the Tuesday bump for discounted rates and this now takes the film to 32 crore nett. The weekday business so far is higher than it should be, going by what the film did over the weekend. But the test is the next three days and especially where it lands on Friday. It needs to be around 3 crore on Friday to bring some change to the present equation but thats a huge ask.

The weekend business and trend was such that it looked like that this film could not do much more than 45-50 crore nett but if the next three days hold up well, it will do more than that now though that low initial weekend will tell on the final business of the film.

HAI JAWANI TOH ISHQ HONA HAI had low collections in the first week though the weekdays collections held up well enough especially considering the flat business it did on Saturday. The first week collected almost 37.50 crore nett. In comparison, SUNNY SANSKARI KI TULSI KUMARI had collected 40 crore nett in week one but that was an eight day first week with a national holiday on the first day. So basically, collections of both films are pretty much the same allowing for that extra day.

The advantage of SUNNY SANSKARI KI TULSI KUMARI was that it came in that pre Diwali period which had hardly any releases while this has been released in the summer period where there is a huge flow of releases. The film is looking to do similar business to SUNNY SANSKARI KI TULSI KUMARI at the moment but it depends on what happens post the second week when its one major release after another.

HAI JAWANI TOH ISHQ HONA HAI collected in the 1.75-2 crore nett range on its second Friday and continued its steady run on low collections. The film is not really going anywhere in terms of theatrical success but with the first weekend trend, it was not even expected to get into the second weekend as it looked total rejection.

The film has managed a near 2 crore nett figure despite multiple releases and basically it shows that films which lack appreciation are still holding up collections with the issue being getting people in over the weekend. This will be another film which will be let down by the initial weekend of the film. A good first weekend coupled with these sort of holds and the job would have been done for the film.

The target for the film remains that SUNNY SANSKARI KI TULSI KUMARI number and it will depend on how much business the film can do post the second week.
