There was a Hollywood film released this week, MICHAEL, which has done well with business of around 5 crore nett including screenings on Thursday. The film was released in English language only.

Its a solid number for a film of this type of film but Michael Jackson was a big name in India in places like Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai and Mumbai and the film has scored here especially the southern cities. The disappointment is Kolkata as Michael Jackson was most popular here outside South India but collections are so so here.

The main competition for DHURANDHAR THE REVENGE was Hollywood release MICHAELbased on the legendary American singer/dancer Michael Jackson. In Indian metros, he was very famous for his dancing and wherever this popularity was, the film has done very well.

South India is excellent and Mumbai is good while Kolkata could have been better. The collections of the film will be around 16 crore nett plus for the weekend. It will probably drop on Monday as the film was driven by advances and fans over the weekend. Nevertheless, the job is done with this weekend which are good results for India for this type of film.
