Actor Chitrangda Singh has voiced concern over the recent mobbing incidents involving actors Nidhhi Agerwal and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, calling the visuals “scary” and questioning the lack of crowd control at public events.

Reacting to videos of Nidhhi being mobbed, Chitrangda says, “Some of these events can really get out of hand because you have to be able to control the crowd. I was looking at those visuals with Nidhhi, and it was scary to see that. It’s probably the duty of the agencies managing them to make sure they are safe. I don’t know how they could put her in that space. How could this happen?”

The concern isn’t limited to isolated cases. Very recent incidents have also seen actor Allu Arjun and his wife Sneha Reddy being mobbed during a public appearance, while stars such as Thalapathy Vijay, Ajith Kumar, and Indian cricket icon Virat Kohli, who was recently surrounded by fans at the Vadodara airport, have also faced similar crowd-related security scares.

Drawing from personal experience, the actor recalled facing a similar situation during a public appearance: “John (Abraham, actor) and I had gone to promote our film, I Me Aur Main (2013) at a Delhi college. The crowd started to build up and suddenly I see everybody trying to whisk off John. He was being protective of me and tried to take me to the car. As soon as we got inside, John took off his shirt and his whole back was full of scratch marks but nothing happened to me. I was shocked to see that,” she says, adding, ”It happens to everyone I suppose, not just women.”
