More than 20 years after Raaz (2002) reshaped Bollywood’s supernatural thriller genre, Dino Morea says the film’s original story still deserves a good sequel.

“People call it horror, but it was really a supernatural thriller. At its core, it was a love story — beautifully told, but layered with scares and mystery. Even today, I think it’s one of India’s finest supernatural films. Story-wise, music-wise, scene-wise — nothing has quite matched it.”

The actor believes the franchise veered away from what made the first film iconic.

“They should make a part two of that story. The second Raaz was completely different. But if they had continued the original, people would still want to know what happened to Aditya and Sanjana. I actually have a beautiful idea about what happens thereafter. It’s outstanding and can make for a really emotional and thrilling continuation. It even brings in a child into the story. I’ve told the makers I have the idea. They own the rights, so it’s up to them. But I truly believe it can be made beautifully.”
