Days after actor-politician Jaya Bachchan’s widely-discussed remark about paparazzi, veteran actor-politician Shatrughan lent his voice in their support.

Appearing alongside actor Poonam Dhillon at a recent event in Mumbai, Shatrughan quipped, “Aap log pant bhi achhi pehente hain aur shirt bhi achhi pehente hain,” prompting laughter and cheers. Following this, Poonam can be heard saying that with such positive energy, it felt as though “the new year has already begun.”

In an earlier conversation with journalist Barkha Dutt, Jaya had said some paps are not fully trained and behave unprofessionally: “Bahar drain-pipe type gande-gande pants pehen kar, haath mein mobile le kar… they think just because they have a phone, they can take your picture and say whatever they want, along with the kind of comments they pass.”
