In October, mid-day had reported that Lakshya, who broke out earlier this year with Aryan Khan’s The Ba***ds Of Bollywood, has bagged a Karan Johar production (Here to fight, here to rise, Oct 21). Now, we’ve got more dope on the action offering that is being helmed by Raj Mehta of Jug Jugg Jeeyo (2022) fame. Sources have told us that the film, tentatively titled Lag Jaa Gale, is set to go on floors over the weekend.

A source reveals, “The pre-production is done, and Raj is ready to call action. Over the weekend, the cast and crew will kick off the shoot in Mumbai, which will be a 20-day schedule.”

As the protagonist of this revenge actioner, Lakshya will lock horns with Tiger Shroff, who plays his arch nemesis. Another insider shares, “Janhvi Kapoor has been finalized as the female lead. Along with hardcore action, the film will also be high on emotions.” 

Tentatively titled ‘Lag Jaa Gale’, the action offering was earlier supposed to be directed by Karan Johar, thus marking his first brush with the genre. The filmmaker had announced it on his 50th birthday, in 2022, but changed his mind later.
