Force 3's maker's hunt for their leading lady has come to an end. Mirror has exclusively learnt that actress Vedika Pinto has joined the cast of Force 3 as the female lead. Pinto, who made her debut with Operation Romeo and was recently seen in Anurag Kashyap's Nishaanchi. "Her character is paired opposite John Abraham in the movie," tells a source.

We reached out to Vedika, but didn't get a response.

Force 3 is the upcoming third instalment in the high-octane Force franchise, originally launched in 2011 with John Abraham as ACP Yashvardhan Singh. The first film was directed by Nishikant Kamat and went on to become a sleeper hit. For Force 3, John Abraham has reacquired the franchise rights and handed the directorial reins to Bhav Dhulia.

Earlier the makers were in touch with actress Meenakshi Choudhary to play the lead, however, Meenakshi chose an Akshay Kumar movie over Force 3. Force 3 will also star Harshvardhan Rane.

Interestingly, it was John’s team that reached out to Harshvardhan overnight after the strong response to his latest outing, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat.

Rane was previously seen in Sanam Teri Kasam, Haseen Dillruba, and Taish.
