Tere Ishk Mein movie review: Tere risk mein...
Box Office India Network

TERE ISHK MEIN had an excellent first day as it collected 14.75 crore nett which is more than most of the star driven films this year and a fantastic number for the budget of the film. But obviously, it must go on from here also. The film should emerge a HIT on the strength of this opening but that will be known on Monday.

The film has a hero from the South who is not such of a force in the Hindi belts. Still, the film has opened at these numbers which shows the film is about the content and music. Its more the characterization of the male lead then content as the content is not known to the audience until the film opens.

The relatability of the male lead character has enabled the film to open to a huge response in all the Hindi speaking circuits. The numbers in the likes of CP and CI and UP/Bihar are better than a film like RAID 2 which did a higher all India number. Its the mass circuits that are taking the film to these levels.

Generally huge weekend growth is expected from films like these. However, as this film has opened so well, it will not be the case here and growth is likely to be moderate. But the main thing is that even with moderate growth, the Saturday and Sunday numbers will be excellent. It will be a fantastic weekend for the film which should mean practically ensure a HIT film.

The film also had a Tamil version which collected around 50-60 lakhs nett which takes the all India total to over 15.25 crore nett which again is excellent.

TERE ISHK MEIN recorded the eighth highest opening day of the year as it collected a fantastic 14.75 crore nett on the first day. Its been a dull year in terms of openings with CHHAAVA being best doing around 30 crore nett. The film which had potential to do that 50 crore nett day was WAR 2 but that did not live upto the expectations.

TERE ISHK MEIN is the only under 100 crore budget film to get in the list along with SAIYAARA. In terms of beating expectations, these two are probably the best for the year as others generally underperfomed or hit expectations no matter what the collections.

The opening days have to get better next year as there will be bigger films and without a big opening number, it is practically impossible for a film to collect a huge lifetime.

The top ten opening days for original Hindi films in 2025 are as follows.
1. Chhaava - 29,58,00,000
2. War 2 - 28,05,00,000
3. Sikandar - 24,73,00,000
4. Thamma - 23,18,00,000
5. Housefull 5 - 22,13,00,000
6. Saiyaara - 21,63,00,000
7. Raid 2 - 18,84,00,000
8. Tere Ishk Mein - 14,75,00,000
9. Sky Force - 12,91,00,000
10. Jolly LLB 3 - 12,22,00,000
