EK DEEWANE KI DEEWANIYAT had a good second week as the film collected 15.75 crore nett edging past the the second week of THAMMA. With the latter, there is no Buy One Get Offer which actually means the gap is more than it looks. The film continues to hold well at mass pockets and the bigger centres are holding at low levels.

The film should get another steady week in and will comfortably cross the 80 crore nett making making it a SUPER HIT and the third biggest original Hindi film of this year after CHHAVA and SIKANDAR. In Bihar, the film crossed the numbers of SIKANDAR and although that film did not do well, it was still a Salman Khan starrer and an Eid release.

It makes it six HIT films this year so far with CHHAAVA, SAIYAARA, EK DEEWANE KI DEEWANIYAT, RAID 2 and SITAARE ZAMEEN PAR. There are not many releases to go and so, a double digit HIT count looks pretty much impossible unless a miracle comes. Also there is a question mark over films like DHURANDHAR that will it come or not. The next few days will tell if it is coming as trailer is due on Wednesday.
