Lord Curzon Ki Haveli is set in one house and is about four South Asians meeting for dinner in a manor on the outskirts of London. The film touches upon racism, patriarchy etc. and has its share of funny and dramatic scenes. However, it ventures into the absurdist zone after which it gets very unconvincing. In this genre, one gets a certain degree of freedom to show characters indulging in bewildering acts. But in this case, the narrative still gets very unconvincing. The finale is very bizarre. The performances save the day. Rasika Dugal is outstanding. She gets to play an interesting character and she ups the impact many notches higher with her performance. Arjun Mathur enters a new territory and comes out with flying colours. Paresh Pahuja leaves a huge mark. Zoha Rahman delivers a confident performance. Tanmay Dhanania (Pizza Delivery Guy) lends able support. All in all, Lord Curzon Ki Haveli fails to entice though the performances make the film watchable.
