Iulia Vantur, Salman Khan’s rumoured girlfriend, made her debut in India over a decade ago with a cameo in O Teri (2014). Since then, the Romanian actress has made Mumbai her home. Today, she is more focused on music than acting.

She says, “I love performing live, and I’m thrilled to be doing shows finally. I was a part of Yo Yo Honey Singh’s tour, performed with Jason Derulo and opened for Ricky Martin in Dubai last year. Opening for such an international superstar was a dream come true. Life has given me more than I ever imagined. I never thought I’d be singing in Hindi and touring the world.”

Does she feel her association with Salman, at times, has overshadowed her work? “All I can say is that I feel honoured to have been guided by someone who has such vast experience in the industry. I am grateful that he believed in me and trusted my abilities,” says Iulia, who recently reprised the iconic song Lag Ja Gale in Salman’s last release Sikandar.

Ask her about her thoughts on love and marriage, and she replies, “Love is the reason I’m in this world. My life is guided by love, and I’m making decisions based on that.”
