Preity G Zinta took to social media on Tuesday to launch a scathing attack against those who are allegedly spreading false information about her. The actor-entrepreneur wrote an elaborate post on X, saying that she will start naming all such people going forward.
Preity’s remarks come in the wake of recent reports that the crisis-hit New India Cooperative Bank had waived off her Rs. 18-crore loan. The 50-year-old wrote that she is “going to start naming all these journalists that write articles without following up or investigating the stories”.
A day before, the actor had criticized the Congress party after the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) tweeted that Preity “gave her social media accounts to BJP and got Rs. 18 crores written off and the bank collapsed last week. Depositors are on the streets for their money”.
Preity clarified that her loan was paid off over a decade ago. Expressing her shock, she said that the party was “indulging in vile gossip & click baits using my name & images”. In response, the KPCC said that it’s “glad to accept mistakes if we have made any”. They also requested her “to clear the air with proof once and for all and raise your voice in their (depositors) interest, too”.
