Sangee was released yesterday (January 17) in cinemas and is the story of three childhood buddies. The film makes a nice comment on friendship. It's just 102 minutes long and is riddled with some very funny situations and moments that keep the interest going. The ending, however, is too convenient. Also, one wishes that there was more drama and confrontation in the tale. Sharib Hashmi is the jaan of the film and he elevates the impact with his supreme performance. The casting for this character was crucial; if the casting had not been done properly, Baman would have seemed irritating but Sharib balances it well and thanks to him, the character seems adorable. Sanjay Bishnoi (Karan) comes next followed by Vidya Malvade. Shyamraj Patil (Akhil), Gaurav More (More; servant), Farida Patel (Karan's mother), Mira Jagannath (Brinda), Anish Railkar (Abhimanyu) and Rohit Kokate (Shailesh) also do well. All in all, Sangee is a film worth watching with friends and family. Hopefully, it will get its due on OTT.
