After stirring panic among his fans, actor Vikrant Massey has now clarified his stance on the future of his acting career. “I’m not retiring… Just burned out. Need a long break. Miss home and health are also acting up… People misread it [the social media post],” he told News18 on Tuesday.

This response comes after the 37-year-old took to Instagram on Monday to share a thank you note to fans, where he talked about taking time to “recalibrate”: “The last few years and beyond have been phenomenal. I thank each and every one of you for your indelible support. But as I move forward, I realise it’s time to recalibrate and go back home. As a Husband, Father & a Son. And also as an Actor (sic).”

Industry insiders and fans both were left surprised after Massey’s note, with many on social media wondering if it was actually a promotional tactic for an upcoming project. “So coming 2025, we would meet each other for one last time. Until time deems right. Last 2 movies and many years of memories. Thank you again. For everything and everything in between. Forever indebted (sic),” read his complete statement.
