On Friday, actor-anchor Archana Puran Singh launched her YouTube channel, but things took a shocking turn after the account was hacked and deleted within 14 hours. However, Singh remains optimistic about her chances of retrieving the channel. “YouTube and my team are working closely together and we have got great support. They have also sent an enquiry to the platform’s international office,” she tells us.

While upset about losing the account, Singh gets emotional about the support she received from friends and colleagues alike. “When I told them about losing the channel, they said, ‘We will repost stories again for you’. I didn’t tear up when I saw that my account was gone, but hearing them say this made me so emotional,” the 62-year-old says.

Ask her about the next steps forward and Singh explains, “My team has been told that we should hear something from the platform’s main office by today. But I am giving this a week’s time to be fully sorted.”
