Actor Vikas Sethi, best known for his work in TV shows Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kahiin To Hoga and Sasural Simar Ka, died in his sleep on Saturday night after suffering a cardiac arrest. The actor (48) was in Nashik (Maharashtra) to attend a family function, his wife Jhanvi Sethi, revealed.
Recalling Vikas’ last moments, Jhanvi told PTI that he had been feeling unwell. “After we reached my mother’s house in Nashik, he had vomiting and loose motions. He didn’t want to go to the hospital, so we asked the doctor to come home. When I went to wake him up at around 6 am in the morning (on Sunday), he was no more. The doctor there told us he passed away last night in his sleep due to cardiac arrest,” she said.
The actor’s mortal remains were sent for post-mortem at Mumbai’s Cooper Hospital and his last rites were held yesterday (September 9), Jhanvi informed.
