STREE 2 continues to maintain well with a 10% drop on its fourth Tuesday with collections in the 2.75-3 crore nett range. The film continues to do supremely well all over and now takes its total to 527.50 crore nett

The fourth week is trending to be the highest ever with collections in the 34-35 crore nett beating JAWAN (Hindi) which had a holiday on Monday. Its pretty much another open week though here records will be tough as URI had a huge fifth week. Howerver, it can still target to beat the numbers of BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION and KGF - CHAPTER 2.

The film has phenomenal business all over but the best circuit has to be Delhi/UP as its likely to become the highest grossing film ever in the territory. In Delhi city, where it broke the record a week ago, it is looking to become the first film ever to collect 50 crore nett in the capital which is simply an insane number.

STREE 2 has become the second film to cross 20 crore nett in Bihar circuit after GADAR 2 and it has beaten all the major action releases of recent times. The circuit is dominated by action films as most of the centres still depend on business from single screens and its huge result for STREE 2 to be this high in this circuit.

The response at the multiplexes of the state are an all time record and better than GADAR 2. The business remains depleted in the state due to infrastructure not keeping up with the other states. The circuit is hugely populated and collections can be much higher but it lags in terms of infrastructure as against other states over the last few decades.

The circuit was more than double of Rajasthan when today its around half of Rajasthan. There is a need for more multiplexes in the state and basically more cinemas. Though at the moment its maybe better that Bihar is not the circuit it used to be as with the sort of content coming out now it would hardly make a mark. Despite the contributions not being as big as they should be in terms of collections due to less multiplexes, a big number here means huge mass acceptance for the film.

STREE 2 maintained a good hold on its fourth Wednesday hardly showing a drop as it collected around 2.75 crore nett and took its overall total to 530 crore nett. The fourth week is looking at record number of 34.75 crore nett apprx. Infact the total so far of 32.25 crore nett is already a record beating the 31.50 crore nett of JAWAN (Hindi).

The film needs another 25 crore to cross the numbers of JAWAN (Hindi) and basically its about keeping on the same trajectory as the previous weeks and a 2 crore nett or above number should be enough for STREE 2 to get over JAWAN (Hindi) as there is Cinema Day on sixth Friday to give it that 3-4 cr extra.

The film stands at around 135 crore nett in Delhi/UP and East Punjab is at 45 crore nett plus. The latter is outstanding as it has come with lower numbers in the big centers of Punjab political as these under perform post pandemic. Yet, it will still get to around 50 crore nett or close making it fourth best after GADAR 2, BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION and ANIMAL.

STREE 2 looks to be heading for the 800 crore mark worldwide as it stands at almost 760 crore after 28 days. The film should manage at least another 40 crore in the coming weeks making it fourth Hindi film to cross 800 crore worldwide after PATHAAN, JAWAN and ANIMAL.

The film is scoring very well in overseas for a film which is for the heartland and without a major male star. The film grossed around $7 million in US/Canada and Gulf is around £3 million. The United Kingdom could touch around £1 million which would be an extraordinary number for a film like this.

The Australia numbers are already over A$2 million making it 11th film to cross this mark in Australia. The contribution of the big four markets is over $12.50 million so far. The business in Overseas for Hindi films is in actually a solid footing but there are just not the films to benefit from. Most major films have done pretty well over the last year or so.
