STREE 2 had its first noticeable drop on its third Tuesday as collections were around 20% down from Monday though the collections were still extraordinary at 5.25 crore nett. This does not matter much as the film has seen historic success but it can't afford to drop too much if its in the race to become the highest grosser.

The third week of the film is looking at around 66 crore nett which will be the second highest total ever and its about where the fourth Friday will land as it has to keep pace with the JAWAN's fourth week which was a record and the highest ever.

The total collections of the film so far are 484 crore nett and the film will be standing at around 500 crore nett by the end of the week. The film is also on course to become the second film in history to cross 150 crore nett in Mumbai circuit though still will be well behind the record of BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION in this circuit. Gujarat/Saurashtra will cross the 50 crore nett mark by the end of the week as the film becomes the fourth film to achieve this feat in this crucial belt after BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION, GADAR 2 and KGF - CHAPTER 2.

The film should also reach the 500 crore nett mark on its third Friday as at the end of three weeks, its looking at around 498-499 crore nett. The records have started for the film and there will be more from as it goes it the fourth weeeknd. The Saturday and Sunday should be huge again and it will be the second highest grosser by the end of business on Sunday and maybe even on Saturday if it gets a big jump on Friday and Saturday.

STREE 2 is approaching the 700 crore mark worldwide as it continues to extraordinary business in India and very good business in overseas. The overseas performance is always going to be less as stars are probably still needed there be it one or a in a combination.

The film is easily the highest grosser in Hindi worldwide as it could end up with 800 crore or at least very close to that mark. The highest so far is KALKI 2898 AD which did 400 crore worldwide in Hindi. Hence, its twice as high as the next best film. KALKI 2898 AD did a further 600 crore in south languages to take it to 1000 crore.

In terms of worldwide numbers, it is likely to finish fourth or fifth in the all time list. It can't reach JAWAN, PATHAAN and ANIMAL and then in fourth place is BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION with 801 crore which is within reach. The difference is though STREE 2 is a far less costly film then these lot. That way, its a bigger HIT than all them apart from BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION.

STREE 2 had a noticeable drop on Tuesday but was rock steady on Wednesday as it collected 5 crore nett which is a huge collection for the third Wednesday. The film has so far collected 61.75 crore nett in its third week and it should close at 66 crore nett plus.

The film is still in the race to be the highest grosser ever but it will be a very close call and the fourth Friday is so important to hold as JAWAN (Hindi) was huge in its fourth week. Even if it manages, then the Cinema Day will be needed on September 20 just like JAWAN had on its sixth Friday and hopefully it gets the the thumbs up from the multiplexes.

The film has so far reached 494.50 crore nett and will end the week at around 499 crore nett plus. It will be at 500 crore nett on the fourth Friday and then it will be two days of high collections if we go by the previous Saturday and Sundays.

STREE 2 had a fantastic third week of almost 67 crore nett as the film held up very well on Wednesday and Thursday after a noticeable drop on Tuesday. The collections remained similar on the last 3 days of the week at around 5 crore nett on each day. The drop in the third week is a little over 50% and week three is second best ever after BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION.

The film has a total of almost 500 crore nett in three weeks as the film aims to get above the 550 crore nett mark and over the JAWAN (Hindi) total. The fourth Friday becomes important if it is to achieve that feat and it must hold like it has over the last few days and still after that there is still a long way to go.

The film continues to do extraordinary business all over except South where collections are lesser but still its holding up well and its just lesser in comparison to the historic business in the rest of the country. The film has crossed JAWAN in Delhi/UP, East Punjab, CP Berar, CI and Rajasthan so far. Gujarat is also done but Mumbai circuit should come over the next week.

STREE 2 recorded the second highest third week of all time missing the long standing record of BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION by a few crore. The weekend was better for STREE 2 and a record but the week is the real barometer as business has changed now and more lopsided to the weekend as compared to the time of BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION.

STREE 2 has beaten GADAR 2 by a 4 crore nett but on fair value its more as the latter had Raksha Bandhan advantage in its third week. The other films are down at 50 crore nett or below which shows how big this total is as 50 crore nett in week three is still a huge achievement. 

STREE 2 has not set any weekly records as yet but the hope is that week four will be a record and it has to be if it is to become the highest grossing Hindi film ever. Barring BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION, the other films in the top five are all post pandemic reflecting the huge jump in business now for the films which are good and liked by the public.
