Actor-singer Sudhanshu Pandey became a household name with his stint as the antagonist Vanraj Shah in the television series, Anupamaa, which also stars actors Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna.

Fans of the show received quite the shock after recent buzz suggested that both Ganguly and Khanna would be quitting. However, as it turns out, it is Pandey who has actually bid the show goodbye.

The actor announced the news to fans in an emotional Instagram live on Wednesday evening. He said, “Main pichle chaar saal se roz pahuch raha hoon aap ke ghar ek daily soap ke zariye. Ek kirdar play kar raha hoon jiske liye mujhe bahut saara pyaar aur narazgi mili, but woh narazgi bhi ek tarike se pyaar hi raha hai. Agar aap naraz na hote mere character dekh kar toh mujhe lagta main sahi tarike se nibha nahi pa raha hoon.”

He went on to add, “I want to tell all of you with a heavy heart that I am now not a part of Anupamaa. Raksha Bandhan episode se main show ka hissa nahi hoon, par itne din beet gaye thay aur meri audience mujhse naraz na ho ki yeh bina bataye kaise chala gaya, toh mujhe laga ye meri zimmedari hai ki mai ye baat bataun aap sab ko. Par humein jeevan mein aage badhna hi padta hai toh I want you all to keep loving me always in my future works.”

The actor has not revealed the reason behind his exit. However, producer Rajan Shahi had recently confirmed to us that both Ganguly and Khanna were still very much a part of the show.
