KALKI 2898 AD (Hindi) is now closing in on the lifetime collection of RRR (Hindi) as it stands at around 273.50 crore nett and needs just another 1.50 crore nett to reach the numbers of the S S Rajamouli directorial which did around 275 crore nett. The hold of the film is good in week five as it heads for a 6 crore nett plus total.

This would make it the third highest grossing film from the South in Hindi after BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONLCUSION and KGF - CHAPTER 2. But the interesting thing about KALKI 2898 AD is that it is the numbers in the South that are taking it over RRR. 

The numbers of KALKI 2898 AD are generally behind RRR in practically most of the Hindi circuits but the South is way ahead especially Mysore. In Mysore, the film has crossed 20 crore nett and is actually the highest Hindi grosser of the year beating FIGHTER.

Not only is the highest Hindi grosser of the year it is also among the top ten Hindi films ever in Mysore. The film has the highest total ever from South for a South Indian film dubbed in Hindi. It is this performance which will enable it to cross RRR (Hindi).
