DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE had a drop in business on Monday which was always going to happen going by the trend over the weekend and due to the drop on Sunday. The film has collected in the 6.50-6.75 crore nett range on Monday which is a drop of almost 70% from the first day.
This now takes the film to almost 72 crore nett and its looking like a first week which will be around the 88 crore nett mark. The highest grosser of the year from Hollywood is GODZILLA x KONG: THE NEW EMPIRE which went a little over 100 crore nett and DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE will easily cross the numbers of the former.
The difference is the expectations of both films as much more was expected from DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE and after a good start it has not really gone anywhere. Despite the drop, the film should do well over the weekends over the next couple of weeks The film will turn out to be good relief for exhibitors for a week who are struggling with low turnouts at the cinemas.
The first four day collections of DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE are as follows.
Friday - 21,00,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 22,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 21,50,00,000 apprx
Monday - 6,75,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 71,75,00,000 apprx
--------------------------------------
DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE did well in its first week collecting 86 crore nett though it saw dropping collections over the weekdays. It still remains the top film this week and should do well on Saturday and Sunday. It would eventually comfortably go over the 110 crore nett mark and maybe even close at 120 crore nett.
