Actor Ashwin Mushran, known for his roles in films like Fashion & Sanju, says that supporting actors deserve better pay, especially now when production budgets have become a topic of concern. He had shared his concerns on social media recently.

Speaking to us, Ashwin states, “If it’s a Rs. 100 crore film and the lead actors receive Rs. 35 to Rs. 40 crore (a major part of the budget), the remaining amount is allocated for making the film. Supporting actors should be paid fairly, but we are not. Some part of the money is spent on lead actors’ staff, such as managers, and fitness trainers, who are not even part of the production. This leads to unfair pay and mistreatment of supporting actors. We want to be treated like we are part of the industry too.”

It's upto the industry to change the situation. One can't just keep complaining and not do anything about it. Actors who complete the job without causing any trouble aren't treated with the respect they deserve
