The Punjabi film JATT & JULIET 3, which is a sequel to the history making JATT & JULIET, has taken a fantastic opening of 3.50 crore nett all India which is the second highest opening ever after CARRY ON JATTA 3 released last year. CARRY ON JATTA 3 grossed 4.50 crore nett but it was a holiday release while it is a normal day for JATT & JULIET 3.

The second day will tell where the film stands against CARRY ON JATTA 3 which is the highest grosser in Punjabi cinema as the drop should not be as much as that film due to non holiday release. These films are big brands in Punjabi cinema as were the films to take Punjabi cinema to a new double digit lifetime numbers when released in 2012.

There is now doubt that JATT & JULIET 3 will be a winner but its about how far it goes and compares with CARRY ON JATTA 3 not just in India but also Overseas. CARRY ON JATTA 3 went on to do around 100 crore worldwide and is the only Punjabi film to do so till date.
