The more, the merrier has been a long-standing mantra in the world of Housefull. Now, it looks like Housefull 5 will be a crowded affair. While Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan and Riteish Deshmukh lead the comedy, sources tell us that producer Sajid Nadiadwala and director Tarun Mansukhani are planning to rope in cast members from the past instalments. Apparently, the idea is to bring all the franchise players together, thus enhancing the Housefull universe.
A source reveals, “Talks are on with Arjun Rampal, John Abraham and Bobby Deol, who starred in the first, second and fourth edition respectively. The makers are envisioning it as a clash of the protagonists and antagonists. Discussions are underway with Chunky Panday, who will have a double role. From its many leading ladies over the years, Lara Dutta, Nargis Fakhri and Jacqueline Fernandez may join the latest offering. While some actors will have cameos, others will be seen in crucial roles.”
The upcoming laugh riot is set aboard a luxury cruise liner. The film will roll in London in August, after which the cast and crew will move to a cruise liner for a 45-day schedule.
The source adds, “The cruise begins in Newcastle in England, then heads to Scotland, Ireland, France and Spain. Tarun wants to ensure everything is planned in advance, leaving no room for delays as a huge star cast will be onboard.”
The director wants to wrap up the shoot by October.
